Exercise can slow down the progression of Parkinson’s, and Covid 19 Quarantine is no reason not to move! Join our fun online class and stay fit and healthy. Our ‘Nordic Neuro Magic’ is a new exercise class designed for people in the early stage of Parkinson’s and their friends or partners who can walk, are at a low risk of falls and have no major other health concerns. Inspired by PD Warrior, we run especially designed classes, designed to slow down the progression of Parkinson’s. Our members love it, and we can really see the difference in the members who have been with us for a while! Now we are all in Quarantine during the Covid 19 outbreak, we have adapted our outdoor classes to an interarctive online session twice a week. So join us every Tuesday and Thursday at 11am for this fun and fast paced session. If you have 1.5×1.5 meter space, a sturdy chair without arm rests and an internet connection, you are good to go. It is sociable, fun, and keeps you in the best shape you can be, without ever leaving your home. The classes are based around 7 key principles: o Powerful o Complex o Frequent o High effort o Meaningful in daily life o Specific to symptoms o Fun! Once we can get back to Nordic Walking we will! Please keep an eye out for our outdoor classes when quarantine time is over. New to Fit and Happy Outdoors? Please email me on ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com or send me a personal message through Meetup at least 24 hours before the session you would like to join. That will give me enough time to get back to you and discuss your needs and find out a bit more about you. Once signed up we will send you a link to our Zoom meeting, as well as the password. This exercise session is aimed at people over 50. Our exercises are gentle but effective. There will be no floor exercises in this session, but you can expect to work hard! Not exercised for a while? Painful knees or hips? Or just like to end your week with some gentle movement? This half hour class will be a great place to start. No fast, jerky movements, but this will still be a good workout for all levels. Beginners and experienced participants are equally welcome. We will combine chair exercises with standing exercises, designed to strengthen your muscles to help support your joints and improve your balance and flexibility. What you will need: • ca 1.5x1.5 meter space to move around. • tablet, laptop or computer screen with internet connection • two water bottles, cans, or small hand weights • a straight kitchen or dining room chair without armrests. My rates 10 session card: My normal rate is £89 for 10 sessions. (different rates apply for my Parkinson’s classes) Pay monthly: Sign up for unlimited sessions per week, for a flat rate of £70 per month if paid monthly in advance. You are studying German but you don't get a chance to practice speaking? In our conversation class you can practice and fine tune your German in a structured class, guided by an experienced German teacher. Get the Berlin Connection membership https://berlinconnection.io/ for up to 5 conversation classes per week, podcasts worksheets and writing practice. Plans start at 40 EUR per month. Or: Try one class here for 5 EUR. It's a great chance to practice your German, develop your conversation skills and meet interesting people. A positive and supportive ambiance will make you talk better in no time. Improved fluency and pronunciation, an extended vocabulary and personal feedback will give you confidence in future conversations in your job or private life. How does it work online? Please take time at least 10 minutes before the event to pay and register for an account at http://zoom.us (in case you don't have one already). In each session we have a new topic and will tackle a variety of vocabulary. We will use the breakout feature of Zoom. You will get different discussion points and speak one-on-one with 3-4 other German learners in a separate chat room. After around 5-10 minutes I'll join your room and you'll give me an account of your conversation. I'll then correct your German and give you personalized feedback. After that you'll be assigned to a new group and discuss a new point. Are there requirements? If you are able to have a basic conversation about simple everyday topics - you are ready! If you have no German at all, get started with the mentioned requirements and join us in a few weeks! Why is there a fee? Hosting a meetup is not free. This session is aimed at people over 50. Our exercises are gentle but effective. There will be no floor exercises in this session, but you can expect to work hard! For our Tuesday afternoon strength training sessions, we use our Nordic Walking poles and bungies, and some physio bands. (You can borrow those from me if you are interested.) We also use some hand weights or use water bottles or tins. This session is great for everyone who wants to get stronger. These exercises can challenge your bones and joints to get stronger. Stronger muscles also help support joints and backs, and help prevent falls and injuries What you need: • ca 1.5x1.5 meter space to move around. • tablet, laptop or computer screen with internet connection • rubber physio band (aka Thera band) • Pilates bar or Gym Fit bungies to use with your Nordic Walking poles. (I can lend you these, and can bring them over if you don’t live too far My rates 10 session card: My normal rate is £89 for 10 sessions. 5th annual Earth Day Celebration! This year (2026) the Celebration is scheduled for April 25th with activities running from 10am-2pm. This is a non-ticketed event. Everyone is welcome! We will have food trucks, Birds of Prey, kids crafts, live music, raspberry plants, apple trees, and of course NATIVE PLANTS! Where: Lynd Fruit Farm, 9399 Morse Rd, Pataskala Ohio 43062 Time: Activities will be from 10am- 2pm. The Market will remain open until 5pm.

Join us for a two mile trail hike alongside the Brookside Trail at Blendon Woods Metro Park. This trail is largely gravel and does include some hills and stairs. Hopefully we will see some wildlife while hike this scenic trail! Join us!

This trail is a meandering path through the woods. There will be some overlooks and a couple stops at the creek as well as time along a waterway. It will not be a fast paced hike. There is some elevation change and uneven terrain. I will be using poles just to be safe! Will aim to get in about three miles. Optional lunch after if there is an interest.
