Adelaide Open Heart Meditation (Online)
Open Heart Meditation is a relaxing, joyful and "non-serious" guided meditation to help the heart open and feel more peace, sweetness and joy.
Due to Coronavirus concerns and for the wellbeing of all our participants, temporarily, sessions are not available at the Hove Community Centre. However, good news! Meditation sessions are available online via Zoom video conferencing. We have made it super easy to join right from your browser. Simply select a name and join the meditation session.
Now you can enjoy a group meditation from the comfort of your own home. How good is that!
Sessions are available at the usual time, every Tuesday at 7pm (ACST).
The program is quite simple:
1. If you are new to Zoom, please use these instructions to get started. https://links.trueheart.org/ohm-zoom-guidelines
2. Join the Zoom session online via this link:
https://links.trueheart.org/ohm-evening
It is optional to use your camera and mic but sharing your smiles with the group is always welcome. :-)
3. Introduction to Open Heart Meditation.
4. Relaxation and simple heart "warmup" exercises.
5. A guided meditation.
6. An open time of sharing and discussion (only if you feel to...)
A $5 donation is greatly appreciated to help with running costs. https://www.trueheart.org/donate
Zoom Sherman Oaks Business Builders Weekly Meeting
## What we're about
We are the Sherman Oaks Business Builders! We are a referral based networking regrouping based out of Sherman Oaks California. Just because we are based here does not mean that your business needs to be based in Sherman Oaks. Our current members come from all areas of the San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita, Simi Valley, and many other places. We meet every week on Tuesday from 8:00 am to 9:30 am, three of the meetings are Zoom and once a month in person.

We are looking for committed individuals and companies that want to grow their business through referrals and of course help other businesses grow. You get to visit us two times with no commitment to see if it is a fit. Our try and true slogan is "Why Hire a Sales Team, Join One!"

𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐩 𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬:
• Let's keep things respectful. Our group has a diverse range of members and we get along great! This is because we accept one another, avoid insensitive comments, try to keep swearing to a minimum, and steer clear of gossip and mindless venting.
• Please be punctual. Our hosts will check the Meetup page and post their location upon arrival before redirecting their attention to the people present. If you are late (more than 5 min), don’t expect to be able to reach them as they may not check their phone. Please allow enough time for travel and parking. (On that note, we don't organise carpooling because of various liability issues.)
• If you say you're going to come, then please actually come. Many of our events end up waitlisted so if you claim a spot and don't show up, then someone else might miss out. Attendees who don't show up (or cancel their RSVP within 12 hours of the event) will be flagged as "no-shows". Repeat "no-showers" will be banned from the group to make space for more reliable attendees.
• We want to keep all our members safe and healthy so if you are unwell, then please stay home. If you need to cancel within the 12 hour "no show" window, please send a courtesy message to the event host.
• Please don't come if you are just looking to hit people up for your own agenda. Our members are so much more than followers for your Instagram account, customers for your Herbalife business, or people for your Forex empire. In our community, we are about adding value to one another. If you are just coming with a self-serving agenda, then we aren't your crowd.
• And finally, this isn't a great group for people who like wallowing in life's problems. We choose positivity and gratitude, so bring some with you!

Some unique benefits of our club meeting.

Not only that, it sits right across the street of Apple shop.
2) At lunchtime and Ideal location, in the middle of city, right opposite Apple shop.
This means you don’t need to stay here after 1 hour.
3) A duration of 1-hour club meeting,

Below is some information around Toastmasters. It’s worth having a look at the website to get the details but summary below.
https://www.toastmasters.org/about/all-about-toastmasters
What is Toastmasters?
Toastmasters International is a non-profit educational organization that teaches public speaking and leadership skills through a worldwide network of clubs. Headquartered in Englewood, Colo., the organization's membership exceeds 357,000 in more than 16,600 clubs in 143 countries. Since 1924, Toastmasters International has helped people from diverse backgrounds become more confident speakers, communicators, and leaders
Benefits of Membership
Improve your public speaking and leadership by working through a structured learning program https://www.toastmasters.org/pathways-overview as well as in impromptu speeches if you want to
Build your network in a small and supportive environment outside your normal work area
Practice writing speeches and presenting in a group setting
Learn how to give people constructive feedback in a positive way
Build self-confidence and self-awareness
Gain a competitive advantage in the workplace
What does a typical meeting look like?
First half is people giving speeches out of their pathways program to progress through the certifications. You are then given feedback in a positive way after the speech
Table topics where we have impromptu speeches where we pick random topics and everyone has the opportunity to participate with 1 minute speeches. Then there is feedback for all afterwards.
There is a general review where we give general feedback, get guest feedback, share who went over and under time as well as share how many ums and ah’s people said
Key point is this is a supportive safe space where everyone makes mistakes, is happy to learn and give and receive feedback.

Contra dance with Big Scioty April 11 - Clinton Heights Lutheran church
**Caller: Kim Thompson**
**Band: Full Moon Country Dance Orchestra**
**Clinton Heights Lutheran Church**
**15 Clinton Heights Ave, Columbus, OH 43202**
WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing!
Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor.
Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot.
For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/)
Please bring your own refillable water bottle.
