The practice aims to improve flexibility, mobility, strength, and cardiovascular fitness, while also fostering mental focus and mindfulness 
During this class I will introduce you to different movements flow, through these movements, we workout, stretch and create our flow together. A good way to enjoy this beautiful weather and understand our body.

**Location:** Kowloon **Duration:** 90 Minutes **Difficulty:** Accessible to ALL (Self-paced intensity) *** **The Mission** In the world of first responders, "slow is smooth, and smooth is fast." While high-intensity training gets the glory, **Zone 2 Heart Rate training** is the silent engine that powers human performance. This session, hosted by **TacticalFitnessHK**, is designed to build your aerobic base—the foundation that allows you to recover faster, stay calm under pressure, and sustain physical output for longer durations without burning out. ### What to Expect This is not a "balls-to-the-wall" sprint session. We are training for **longevity and resilience**. * **Briefing (10 mins):** We’ll start with a short talk from our founders (local first responders) on why aerobic capacity is critical for emergency preparedness and mental clarity. * **The "Talk Test" Jog/Walk (60 mins):** We will move as a group in Kowloon. The goal is to keep your heart rate between **60-70% of your maximum**. You should be able to hold a full conversation—this is where the community building happens! * **Knowledge Share & Cool Down (20 mins):** We’ll wrap up with light mobility work and a Q&A session on emergency kits, situational awareness, and staying "ready" in an urban environment like Hong Kong. *** ### Why Zone 2? For first responders and prepared citizens alike, Zone 2 training: 1. **Improves Mitochondrial Efficiency:** Teaches your body to burn fat as a primary fuel source. 2. **Enhances Recovery:** Helps clear lactate faster after high-intensity bursts. 3. **Protects the "Soul":** Lower-intensity steady-state movement is proven to reduce cortisol (stress) and improve mental health. ### Who Should Join? **Everyone.** While we are founded by first responders to support the frontline assets, we believe a resilient city requires a resilient community. Meetup Date: 10 April 2026 (Friday) Meetup time: 7pm Meetup location: Central MTR Station, Exit J2 Difficulty: 2/5 Distance: 10km Elevation: 396m Time: Approx 2.5 hours Route: Central MTR Station > The Peak Tram (Lower Terminus) > Central Green Trail > The Peak Galleria > Peak Circle Walk > The Peak Galleria > Old Peak Road > Central MTR Station Transport: Start and Finish: Central MTR station, Exit J2 (Note: You can choose to finish the hike at The Peak Galleria, where there are many public transport options (bus, taxi, tram) to bring you back to Central) Where do I get water/snacks/supplies? ***About this outing***: For this second HK plant walk, we will be doing an easy hike in Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve. Our aim is to get familiar with Hong Kong’s native plants by using the Inaturalist app. We will begin with a quick overview about Inaturalist and how to make and upload an observation – by doing so, you’ll be contributing useful biodiversity data to a huge citizen science database! Then, we will wander at a comfortable pace along the shaded forest trails of the nature reserve, pausing to look more closely at plants and record what we see. Tai Po Kau is rich in interesting and unusual flora, and if we are lucky, we might spot the Hong Kong Ania, a native orchid (see picture). This event is beginner-friendly. You need moderate fitness and comfortable walking/hiking shoes (there’s a short uphill climb to start). Shoes with good grip are best as some parts of the trail are uneven and the stones can be a little slippery when it’s humid. ***About the organizer:*** I am a regular hiker, plant lover and Inaturalist ambassador. However, I am not a botanist or expert! The aim of this walk is to discover plants together, document Hong Kong’s native biodiversity and work on removing our plant blindness. ***Please***: ✔Have a true profile photo of yourself on Meetup, so that I can recognize you ✔Download the Inaturalist app on your phone before the walk and create an account ✔Have breakfast and hydrate before the hike ✔Plan your transportation to Tai Po Kau and show up on time! ***Do bring***: ✔Water or sports drink (at least 750ml) ✔ Walking/hiking shoes with decent grip ✔Mosquito repellent ✔Sun protection (hat / sunscreen / long sleeves) ✔Umbrella ***Don't***: ❌Wear inappropriate clothes/shoes (flip flops, heels) ❌Be late ❌Bring guests (all participants must sign up separately) ❌Smoke or drop litter on the trail ***Route description***: Tai Po Kau Red Walk and connecting trails ***Walk details***: Approx. 5 km with 200m climb. There is a short steep road section at the very start, but most of the walk is relatively flat and shaded. However, it could still be warm and humid. I plan to finish within 3 hours and the walk is circular - we will end the walk back at the starting point. ***Meeting time and place***: 10am at the Entrance of Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve on Tai Po Road (Tai Po Kau). I will wait near the “Tai Po Kau Nature Reserve” wooden sign. You can take the following services; the green minibus is the most regular option: **Green minibus** 28K Tai Po Market MTR Station \~ Sha Tin (Pak Hok Ting Street) (Circular route, 10 min intervals). * From Sha Tin, the journey takes around 25 minutes **KMB bus** 72 Tai Wo \~ Cheung Sha Wan (20-25 minute intervals) * An easy place to get this bus is from the bus station underneath Tai Wo MTR. The journey takes 20 minutes. For this walk, take the 9:20 departure. 72A Tai Wai MTR Station \~ Tai Po Industrial Estate (30 minute intervals) * From Tai Wai, the bus departs every 00 and 30 minutes, and the journey takes 30 minutes. For this walk, take the 9:00 or (latest) 9:30am departure. 73A Yu Chui Court \~ Wah Ming (30 minute intervals) 74A Tai Wo \~ Kai Yip (60 minute intervals) ***Important notes***: * I will make a list of participants with visible profile photos on Meetup. If you cannot make it, please update your RSVP on Meetup as soon as possible. * Out of respect for all participants, we will not wait a long time for latecomers. If you are running late due to transportation issues, please leave a message on this page before 10am to let us know. Join us for a two mile trail hike alongside the Brookside Trail at Blendon Woods Metro Park. This trail is largely gravel and does include some hills and stairs. Hopefully we will see some wildlife while hike this scenic trail! Join us!

We'll meet at Wyandot Park, cross Riverside Dr at Lane Rd, then walk south along the water to Griggs Park and back — 4.8 miles total. A scenic out-and-back route along the Scioto River. One of the nicer stretches of trail in Columbus. Parking is available at Wyandot Park, off Lane Rd. Over time I'm hoping to organize a hike to all the Franklin County Metro Parks. This is the first one so if you're interested jump in! We'll start with the Canopy Walk, a cool feature of this park. Climb 100 stairs to the top - or take the elevator if stairs aren't your thing. At the top there are a bunch of things to play on - a rope bridge, a fireman pole that we can slide down - and more! About fifteen minutes there and we'll head to the natural trail, Buttonbush, Maple and Beech Trail for 2.2 miles then do a 1.7 mile loop on the paved Greenway Trail. We'll be passing our cars as we transition if you only want to do the first loop, or the second loop. Pace of around 3.5 mph but no one left behind. If there is an interest we can grab lunch nearby afterward.
