Join us for a trail run/jog/walk! Note this is Easter Monday, a public holiday in Denmark and therefore we start already at 14:30h We encourage you to wear Easter / Springtime costumes. Feel free to join the silly pack. Only for this special occation there will also be Easter activities. We are not a typical running club, so please read about the concept in “about us”. How it works: we don’t know in advance where the trail will go, but we know it will be fun! A member of the club, the 'hare', sets a trail, usually marked with flour. The rest of us, the 'pack', follows the hare's 'scent', i.e., the marks. There will be a 8-10 km trail for runners with shortcuts down to 5-6 km for walkers and those who need a slower pace. We have no set pace - run/walk as slow or as fast as you'd like. After the run we enjoy some refreshments and socialize. Come a few minutes before the start so that you can say hi and leave your bag in a designated bag car before we set off at 14:30. Don’t worry if there are few registrations on Meetup. We have existed for 44 years, and a lot of our members (anywhere from 20 to 50 people) just show up. Four-legged friends are welcome! We never cancel. See you there!

Join a calming and creative workshop where we work with pure, natural beeswax. Over 2.5–3 hours, participants will make several types of candles – free-standing rolled candles, hand-dipped tapers, and poured tealights. Let's go on a beautiful, easy day hike along one of the most dramatic and historically fascinating coastlines in all of Denmark, Stevns Klint. No big elevation, no rush, just white chalk cliffs, 65-million-year-old fossils, a medieval church teetering on the edge of a cliff, and the Baltic Sea stretching out in front of us the whole way. It's the kind of walk where you stop every ten minutes just to stare... Meeting point: Store Heddinge Station at 10:30. From there, we’ll walk to Stevns Klint (about 5 km), explore the area, and return via the same route , around 10 km total. Easy peasy... Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. The Alliance is part of the Greater Central Ohio Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are an all-voices chorus dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all those who love to sing, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation or musical background. The Alliance is the first and only all-voices barbershop chorus in Central Ohio. **Who:** Anyone with a passion for singing at a high level. Dinner and dancing

The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome.
