Sie bezeichnen sich selbst als "Dieta-Menschen“ und leben in einer tiefen Verbindung zur Natur, die sie als beseelt und geistgetragen verstehen. Sie sind vor allem durch ihren traditionellen Gebrauch von Ayahuasca bekannt, welcher jedoch nur einen kleinen Teil ihrer kulturellen Praxis darstellt.
