Είμαστε μια μικρή ομάδα Χριστιανών που προσφέρουμε δωρεάν μαθήματα Αγγλικών σε όποιον θέλει να εξασκήσει, να αναπτύξει και να ενισχύσει τις αγγλικές του δεξιότητες. Θα συναντιόμαστε σε μια δωρεάν τοποθεσία κάθε εβδομάδα για να κάνουμε το μάθημα και θα χρησιμοποιούμε ένα βιβλίο ασκήσεων με θέματα συζήτησης από τα βιβλία του Λουκά και των Πράξεων για να βοηθήσουμε τις συζητήσεις μας. Άτομα οποιουδήποτε υπόβαθρου, εθνικότητας, φύλου, φυλής κ.λπ. είναι ευπρόσδεκτα! Το υλικό είναι μοναδικό επειδή δεν έχει σχεδιαστεί για χρήση στην τάξη, αλλά για ατομικές συζητήσεις. Κατά την άφιξή σας, θα σας ζητηθεί να καταχωρήσετε το όνομα και τα στοιχεία επικοινωνίας σας αποκλειστικά για σκοπούς επικοινωνίας και θα υπόκειστε στον Νόμο 125(I)/2018. Περιστασιακά τραβάμε φωτογραφίες και βίντεο κατά τη διάρκεια των Δωρεάν Μαθημάτων Αγγλικών τόσο για ψηφιακή όσο και για έντυπη διαφήμιση και μάρκετινγκ, όπως φυλλάδια και μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης. Εάν δεν θέλετε να βρίσκεστε σε φωτογραφίες ή βίντεο, παρακαλούμε ενημερώστε ένα μέλος της ομάδας κατά την άφιξή σας. This event is perfect for English as a Second Language (ESL) learners who want to improve their language skills while making new international friends. Welcome to Nicosia Free English Classes! We are a small group of Christians who offer free English classes to anyone wanting to practice, grow, and strengthen his or her English skills. We will meet at a free location each week to have the class, and we will use a workbook with conversation prompts from the books of Luke and Acts to aid our conversations. People of any background, nationality, gender, race, etc. are welcome! The materials are unique because they are not designed for classroom use, but instead for individual conversations. We will be using this material to prompt our conversations. We believe that a friendly relationship and the exchange of personal insights contribute significantly to improving language skills. Concerns about data privacy and data security cut across all tech sectors, at the same time the packaging of products, including financial products, into SuperApps can lead to tech products coming under the purview of financial regulation. Since the creation of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) first regulatory sandbox in 2016, regulators have been deploying regulatory sandboxes to allow live testing of products and services. The success of the FCA sandbox let to its emulation. In Europe they are more than 14 regulatory sandboxes, and their popularity is expanding out of financial services: Europe has launched an pan-European Blockchain regulatory sandbox, while under the EU AI Act, Member States must establish or participate in at least one AI regulatory sandbox by 2 August 2026. In this talk I will present the key ways to engage regulators through innovation offices and regulatory sandboxes, and from a business perspective, discuss the pros and cons of engaging with a sandbox. **About the Speaker** Alexander is a researcher at the Cambridge Centre for Alternative Finance (CCAF) and the European University Cyprus (EUC). In his time in CCAF and EUC, Alexander has trained policymakers into how to respond to technology, and provided bespoke training on the issue of regulatory sandboxes and innovation offices. Alexander has thirteen years of experience in consultancy in a range of varied projects and EU funded projects, with specialty on the economy of Cyprus. He also has experience in policy, through his position in the National Economic Council of the President of Cyprus and as an economist at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. Alexander is passionate for capacity building and University education, with experience in teaching a range of economics and entrepreneurship courses.
