Please note the slightly later start time on this one. Brian (a former member) was going to do this walk four years ago, but a lot of people thought it was too far. Now that we've been to Shenfield, I thought I'd have another go at going that one station further to Billericay in order to do something different for Easter So, it is one stop on from Shenfield, which is on the Elizabeth Line from Liverpool St. Shenfield is covered on your over 60's Oyster/freedom passes, so you'll only have to pay for one station if you have a free pass. If you are driving, there is a free car park very nearby in Lake Meadows Park, which is open until 9pm. Walk a few minutes over to the station for 11.30am. The meet point is outside Billericay Station at 11.30am. We'll be going through Lake Meadows, and on through Norsey Woods to Break Egg Hill . We will then pass through Norsey Meadows and exit the woods through the Norsey Close. We'll then head for the (optional) pub for some well deserved food and/or drink. Non-pubbers have got a few mins walk to the station. Norsey Wood is designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), a Scheduled Ancient Monument and a Local Nature Reserve. Apparently the paths there date back to the Iron Age. I ask for a nominal contribution of £2 to help cover Meetup organiser fees. Or you can pay £4 to cover the rest of April (hopefully three more walks). Some pay £20 to cover a half-year. No shrapnel please. A balanced approach guided by Immanuel Kant's pragmatism and Aristotle's deductive reasoning seems the most rationale framework here but are there any other methodologies? We’re a small, friendly, long-running group (we've been going since around 2012) that meets upstairs at the Greyhound every Monday, playing **medium-to-heavy games** from around 7:00pm to 10:30pm (or until the final victory points are counted). Think less Ticket to Ride, more Ark Nova / Dune Imperium / Great Western Trail end of the spectrum. Newcomers are welcome and there are no charges or entrance fees but we do ask that you support the pub by buying drinks and/or food from the bar as they kindly allow us to use the upstairs room without charge. We **meet shortly before 7pm** in the upstairs room (the stairs are behind the bar). The upstairs room is a lovely venue: plenty of table space, good lighting, and we’ve been established there since 2020. The pub has recently changed owners, but the new management is happy for us to continue and even throws in a **20% food discount**. The pub currently stays open until around 10.30pm on Mondays. Parking is free around Kew Green on Monday evenings, except on Event nights. Public transport via Kew station or the many buses that run through Kew Green is convenient also. We also run a **WhatsApp chat group** for members to chat, we will add you to the WhatsApp group when you attend and enjoy the first evening. Feel free to bring games, there is usually a good selection on offer from the regular attendees. **The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization.
