**Hosted by: Jeff Thompson** **Join the Exceptional Singles Meetup Group for "Salsa Bachata Thursdays at Wild West Dance Hall Latin Night," featuring a Bachata Class by professional dance instructors Jessica & Lizette!** **Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have two left feet, this is the perfect opportunity to learn some new moves, mingle with other singles, and dance the night away.** **🕒 Schedule:** * **8:00 PM - 9:00 PM: Basic Beginners Bachata Dance Lesson with Jessica & Lizette.** * **9:00 PM - 1:00 AM: Social dances and drinks till 1 AM! Dance to Bachata and Salsa all night with Dj Guapea.** **💃 Do I need a partner?** **NO PARTNER NEEDED! Leads and follows will be rotating during the class. Rotating is highly encouraged so you can meet new people, but it is optional. Come make cards with us, y'all! Join us for our recurring Thursday evening meetup at St. Elmo Brewing Springdale, where you can make cards while enjoying: * live music in the beer garden, featuring bluegrass by Sylvan River Band, * tasty eats from the onsite food trucks, and * seasonal sips from the bar, featuring handcrafted alcoholic as well as nonalcoholic drinks. This is a family-friendly event. All ages are welcome. Cardmaking supplies provided! **Where's the cardmaking?** We'll be at the tables on the front patio area, directly to your right when you enter through the front gate. Look for the Cards for Seniors signage on the tables. **About the Venue:** St. Elmo at Springdale is a family-friendly location with a large, open, pet-friendly beer garden and an onsite playground for kids. Non-alcoholic beverage choices are available, and there are three onsite food trucks. Plenty of free onsite parking available. **Do I need to bring supplies?** We'll have plenty of supplies on hand, including blank cards, markers, stickers, washi tape, scissors, glue, and other scrapbooking materials. Feel free to bring along items from your stash if you'd like to add any special touches to your cards! **Who will receive the cards?** Your card will end up in the hands of an isolated senior living in a nursing home right here in Austin. We collect cards year-round to distribute to seniors living in long-term care facilities in Central Texas. Facilities can reach out to us to request cards for the residents, and we mail them or recruit volunteers to hand deliver them. Our goal is to collect 10,000 handmade cards to distribute to seniors before the end of the year! Will you help us reach our goal? It doesn't matter if you're a dominoes aficionado or have never played before--if you love to play games and have fun, come join us! Mexican Train is a great game that involves both luck and strategy, but it's easy to learn. We meet monthly, and if you 'd like to have the group meet at your house, I'm sure we'd love to! In the meantime, it's at ours. Bring a sweet or savory snack to share, your favorite beverage AND DOMINOES if you have a set. We chat and chew from 6:30 to 7 and will start playing at 7. (you can continue to snack while we play), but come early to visit and nosh for a bit before we start. BYOB We always end the night with a hilarious game of CATCHPHRASE.

The Williamson County Art Guild is hosting a paint out for the Art Stroll festival, and they have invited us to participate! Come out and paint anywhere on or around the square in downtown Georgetown from 4-7 p.m. At 7:00, meet up at the Art Guild Gallery located at 708 S. Rock St., Georgetown for an informal showing to see what everyone has created! There will be art shows, vendors, live music, demonstrations and so much more happening in Georgetown during this event. **Comedy Night + Open Mic + Freestyle**: Tristan Shae and friends return to entertain us and to warm the group up for our open mic session. February's Open Mic / Comedy Night was a smash hit and it's worth a second night. We'll start with Tristan Shae and a couple of his friends. Tristan is an alternative comic from Columbus, Ohio. A counselor by day, Tristan explores how comedy can improve mental health by telling jokes and stories that muse on how absurd life can be from squeaky clean topics to not so clean ones. Tristan produces the variety show Cheaper Than Therapy, hosts the weekly Problem Child Alt Comedy Open Mic at The Attic, and can be found engaging in all sorts of silliness around the city from stand up shows at The Nest Theater, The Attic, or The Funny Bone, to improv and sketch shows with various groups at various venues such as The Hashtag Comedy Club. **On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. There is NO formal wine tasting like on other weeks\. Door charge is $10 \(cash or Venmo only please\)\. We may have some left over wines to clear out\! Glasses are provided\. Take Care\. See you there\. **Parking**: There are several public parking lots near the Alive614 hall. Please be careful to NOT park in private parking lots. They do tow. Check Google maps to scope out your space. Anyone who is early could easily find a parking space on the street nearby.
