Hello challengers, For those of you that survived the winters of Berlin, I'm getting geared up for our next meetup! In this workshop, we’ll go beyond simply taking photos, we’ll train your eye to see color with intention and use it as a powerful storytelling tool. Instead of focusing on subjects alone, this challenge invites you to explore Berlin through a single lens: **color**. You’ll be split into small groups and assigned a specific color. Your mission is to hunt for it, frame it, and bring it to life through a series of images. By the end, each group will become the storyteller of their color across the city. Along the way, you’ll learn how to use color not just as an aesthetic, but as a way to guide attention, create emotion, and build stronger compositions. Learn to see, compose, and tell stories through color using contrast, simplicity, and creative interpretation. 🧠 **How the Challenge Works** * You’ll be split into groups of **2–3 people** * Each group is assigned **one color** * You’ll have **\~60 minutes** to explore and shoot * Your goal: capture a small series of images that represent your color in Berlin **A Social Experience** As much as this is a photography group, it’s about connection and community. A 2‑hour painting session focused on colorizing 3D‑printed models. **About this course** This workshop is designed to introduce participants to the world of painting 3D‑printed objects such as busts, masks, figurines, and miniatures. Whether you want to learn techniques for smooth gradients, realistic textures, weathering, metallic finishes, or character detailing, this course will guide you through every step. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. **How Does It Work?** This event is simple, we meet and sketch each other doing portraits. Most of the participants use pencils or watercolors. Life-drawing on the first and third Saturday morning in the month held in my studio in the Rhinower Str 10. One hour of short poses ( the length of a song from an eclectic playlist) a 20 minute or so break while we look at the work and compare techniques and exchange tips on materials while drinking a well-earned tea or coffee with a freshly-baked muffin, then another hour of drawing. In the second half, for those who wish I also roll up a plate with ink to monoprint direct from the model. You will go home with a lot of drawings and prints, new ideas and some new techniques. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading.
