MGA Virtual Go Center
MGA Virtual Go Center
NOTE: We've had 25-35 people each week at this meetup, but most folks aren't RSVP-ing via Meetup. Around half are from outside MA. Please join us, even if you didn't RSVP. *** The "Natick" group is now meeting via Zoom + OGS (Online Go Server), and includes many people from outside of Massachusetts. Beginners are always welcome. It is great to host people who don't live near enough to other Go players to play in person. The Zoom + OGS experience provides 75% of the in-person experience. During the meetup, you can: • Play friendly games, or watch us play • Play league games. For details about joining the league, see http://massgo.org/league/ • Join a beginners group, or get teaching games • Join a DDK or SDK study group, generally starting at 8:30 • Have your game reviewed, or watch other reviews • Participate in a review of a pro game, starting at 9:30, in "guess the move" format. You can watch the game on Twitch and chat there, or talk to other Go players watching the review on the Zoom. See https://www.twitch.tv/massgo On Tuesday evening, sign in to OGS and go to the Massachusetts Go Association group (various links are posted there), or just join the Zoom. See https://online-go.com/group/45. Let me know if you have any questions. I look forward to seeing you.

Fit and Happy Indoors - Strong and Powerful - Online class
Fit and Happy Indoors - Strong and Powerful - Online class
This session is aimed at people over 50. Our exercises are gentle but effective. There will be no floor exercises in this session, but you can expect to work hard! For our Tuesday afternoon strength training sessions, we use our Nordic Walking poles and bungies, and some physio bands. (You can borrow those from me if you are interested.) We also use some hand weights or use water bottles or tins. This session is great for everyone who wants to get stronger. These exercises can challenge your bones and joints to get stronger. Stronger muscles also help support joints and backs, and help prevent falls and injuries What you need: • ca 1.5x1.5 meter space to move around. • tablet, laptop or computer screen with internet connection • rubber physio band (aka Thera band) • Pilates bar or Gym Fit bungies to use with your Nordic Walking poles. (I can lend you these, and can bring them over if you don’t live too far My rates 10 session card: My normal rate is £89 for 10 sessions. (different rates apply for my Parkinson’s classes) Pay monthly: I am keeping the option of signing up for unlimited sessions per week (this includes Nordic Walks as well as online sessions). This is a flat rate of £70 per month for unlimited sessions if paid monthly in advance. Pay What Works: The price shown above is the “true” value of the session that best reflects the work I put into preparing and leading your session. However, I understand that not everyone can afford to pay full price, and I don’t want that to stop you from joining us. In an effort to find a balance between more financial accessibility and sustainable pricing, I now offer a “Pay What Works” model. This allows for financial flexibility while still valuing and respecting the work and energy I provide in creating and delivering these classes. You tell me what you would like to pay: For your new payment, please let me know if you are happy to pay full price, or if you would like a reduction Please send an email to ailien@fitandhappyoutdoors.com with the heading “INVOICE please”- followed by “FAHO 1” to pay full price as quoted below, “FAHO 2”, for 20% off, or “FAHO 3” for 50% off. And please tell me if you want to pay for 10 sessions, or if you’d like to pay monthly. I prefer payment by bank transfer. At the moment I do not accept cheques. The queues by the banks are just too long.

Vampire the Masquerade 5th ed. / D20 Modern (Online, for now)
Vampire the Masquerade 5th ed. / D20 Modern (Online, for now)
Hi Everyone, We are looking for more players (and GM's) in our weekly virtual "tabletop" role-playing group (yup, we are once again online, thanks to the winter surge and Omicron. We'll likely get back around a table in the spring). We meetup once a week on Saturdays, from about 11am to 5pm, occasionally there's some minor variation on the time, dependent on the schedules of our players but the game IS on Saturday around that time (please make sure that reliably works with your schedule before responding). At the moment, we're in the midst of re-organizing our group, but we are playing Vampire the Masquerade 5th ed. and D20 Modern (on successive alternating weekends respectively). Btw, if you're in for one, you're in for both please (no cherry picking games, it's a headache). Even if you’ve never played any RPG before it’s ok. Everyone in the group is willing to teach, so don’t worry if you don’t have any experience; that’s not as important as a desire to play. If you're interested in getting more campaign/character creation details, please send me a private message (not a comment below, that won't be sufficient; there's a chance I'd miss it and that would suck). I'll arrange a "virtual" meet and greet session and then we can try to get you into the next upcoming game. Please, don't RSVP the same day as the event and expect to be in the game. I vet all our potentials ahead of time; that way they're a good fit but also so they can familiarize themselves with the details of the campaign, the rules system and have a character ready to go on game day (that way no one is waiting on the new guy to finish up his character). Cheers! Post Script: For the MOMENT, I've been asked by both Storyteller and GM to put our recruiting on PAUSE. Our table is full for now, but will likely open up again as we lose players (which inevitably happens). For now, I am leaving the posting up and active and would ask that anyone interested continue to contact me. I AM still responding to players and will be contacting people as spots open back up.

New Sentries Chapter - First Bi-Monthly Meetup
New Sentries Chapter - First Bi-Monthly Meetup
Keep in mind that ALL Covid protocols are in effect until further notice. All meetups will be held ONLINE utilizing available RPG Virtual Tabletop Servers. Roll20, Astral, Foundry, World Anvil and others are available. The New Sentries Chapter of the Calgary D&D Meetup Group is open to all members, but will mainly be concerned with introducing new players to our great hobby, and re-introducing players who have not had the dice in their hands for a while. For all new members, most answers to your questions can be found in our FAQ and Code of Expected Conduct on our Welcome to the Group Forum. Please be sure to watch the message boards for more information as scheduling changes take place between updates. Information on your respective tables can be found on the Message Board Forums, at: https://www.meetup.com/CalgaryDnDMeetup/messages/boards/
Freeform Gaming Online
Freeform Gaming Online
The historic Boardgame And RPG Enthusiasts Group is organizing online boardgames each wednesday, at 8:30 pm - 11:30pm on their online discord. Join a welcoming community for folk near and far, young and old, of every shape, ability, and gender identity, as they enjoy digital boardgames and chatting in our discord voice channel to build a fun online community, centered around boardgames and roleplaying games. Chatting in the discord requires a microphone for your personal computer and a discord account. You can join our discord for free at the following web address. [https://discord.gg/nagJvNAmvs](https://discord.gg/nagJvNAmvs) There are many different methods we use to play board games online, but the most common is a free website, Boardgame Arena. It is accessible through an app or from most web browsers, and facilitates live games of over 480 of the most popular boardgames. It's easy to use! All you need is an email address and you can sign up for a free account here: [https://en.boardgamearena.com/account?page=newuser](https://en.boardgamearena.com/account?page=newuser) Some games often played by members on BGA include, but are not limited to; Innovation, Space Base, Railroad Ink, Race for the Galaxy, 7 Wonders, Welcome To, and many more. We also use the discord to coordinate future events, and with the recent access to widespread vaccination we are in the process of carefully opening up some live and in-person events. Come join us to be a part of the planning, or just for the most recent updates! This meeting will be a freeform gaming event. Freeform Gaming meetings are open gaming events where everyone is welcome (and encouraged!) to suggest any games they would like to play. If you suggest a game, please be prepared to teach it to others, or make it clear up front if it will be a learning game for everyone. Rules lawyers and game-crappers should feel free to stay home. To attend, all that we ask is that you review the Group Guidelines ([http://www.meetup.com/bn-bareg/messages/boards/thread/4892770](http://www.meetup.com/bn-bareg/messages/boards/thread/4892770)). While not required, RSVPing helps let us plan how to break up groups for games ahead of time. Knowing beforehand, if we have room for a 6 player game of Codenames, or if someone is wanting to play a 5 player game of Terraforming Mars, makes things a little easier to plan. We hope to see you there!
