Welcome to our weekly physical or virtual Club Polyglotte meeting. * As usual, a minimum consumption of one drink or something small to eat is obligatory at Restaurant Quai Steffen at 13, Place de la gare at the Luxembourg railway station. * We start our get together at 19:00 h and finish at 22:00 h. As on every Tuesday, participate at one of the following language tables: 1. English 2. French 3. Luxemburgish 4. German 5. Spanish 6. Italian or languages like Mandarin, Russian, Romanian or Arabic, if needed. We are constantly searching for Buddies who lead the various language tables and for those who would like to participate in the organisation for our club established in 1999. This is the story of Anne Elliot, who, years earlier, was persuaded to break off her engagement to the man she loved, Captain Frederick Wentworth, because he was considered an unsuitable match. Eight years later, they meet again. Wentworth is now wealthy and successful, while Anne remains single and quietly regrets her past decision. The novel follows their renewed acquaintance and the lingering emotions between them. Through this story, Jane Austen explores themes such as regret, second chances, social pressure.
