Many experts believe **Artificial General Intelligence (AGI)** — AI that could outperform humans in most intellectual tasks — may emerge within decades, or possibly sooner. This raises important questions: * Could AGI bring major scientific progress and prosperity? * What risks might arise if powerful AI systems are not aligned with human values? * How should society prepare for such transformative technologies? Researchers and organizations such as the Future of Life Institute and the Machine Intelligence Research Institute study these issues under the fields of **AGI risk** and **AI alignment**. Yet these discussions often remain limited to experts. Meeting tradicional do English Brazil para a prática do inglês em encontros presenciais. Esse é um meeting que já é tradicional. Nos reunimos sempre em um local público para praticar conversação em inglês, e ficamos do lado de uma cafeteria para que você possa comprar o seu café enquanto conversa com a gente. O objetivo é criar um ambiente descontraído e amigável para que todos possam praticar o inglês sem pressão. Não importa se você é iniciante ou avançado, todos são bem-vindos! Não é necessário confirmar presença, e o valor é de graça, também não cobramos nada para participar. Apenas apareça, mostre interesse, e alguém irá te convidar para puxar uma cadeira para perto da mesa para praticarmos. The Alliance is part of the Greater Central Ohio Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are an all-voices chorus dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all those who love to sing, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation or musical background. The Alliance is the first and only all-voices barbershop chorus in Central Ohio. **Who:** Anyone with a passion for singing at a high level.
