WHAT WE DO What if the most alive version of you isn't something to achieve — but something to remember? The Art of Playing is a workshop built around Pungryudo, Korea's ancient philosophy of Wind and Flow. We explore what it means to live the way a river moves: without striving, without losing momentum, completely present. The workshop moves through three practices: — Philosophy: the roots of Pungnyudo and its two core movements, Mosim (the art of deep reception) and Sallim (the natural arising of action) — Anapana Living: a daily-life meditation where thoughts, emotions, impulses, fear, memories, dialogues, and intertactions with others & nature, all become the practice — Donghak Sword Dance CBC: a somatic partner practice rooted in Korean shamanic tradition, for experiencing non-separation between ourselves and the rest of the world All three point toward the same thing: Capacity for Play — the ability to meet life as play. Not as a technique. As a way of being. The word Pungryu also means “to play”. — IS THIS FOR YOU? This workshop tends to resonate if you recognise yourself in any of these: 1\. Autopilot — Habit and automatic reaction carry you through the day\. You move without noticing you're moving\. 2\. Overdoing — You're good at achieving things\, but fulfilment keeps slipping just out of reach\. The present moment is always somewhere in the future\. 3\. Withdrawing — You've been on retreats\. **HOW TO FIND US** Outdoors: We meet **every Sunday at 15:00** in the **Töölönlahti Park**, opposite the entrance to Pikku-Finlandia. If you’re walking from Oodi, pass the playground with the big swings and the volleyball court. On the left, you’ll find us in the **area with benches, hammocks, and yellow chairs**. Indoors: When it's cold or rainy we move to the **top floor** of the **Oodi** Library, on the stairs opposite the children’s area. It's a good idea to **keep your sketchbook visible** so others can easily recognize that you're there for the sketching meetup. And if you’re a regular participant, making it clear that you're part of the sketching group can be very helpful for newcomers! \*\*\* **HOW IT WORKS** At each meetup, attendees take turns being the model for a quick **10-minute sketch session**. One person poses, everyone else sketches, then we rotate. \*\*\* **WHAT TO BRING** Pencils and paper (or any sketching tools you like). No fees, no pressure. The only thing we ask is that everyone takes a turn posing for the group. You can sit however you feel comfortable — the 10 minutes go by quickly! Draw as much as you like, skip a round if you’re tired or just want to chat, and leave whenever it suits you. The event continues as long as there’s interest. \*\*\* **STAYING CONNECTED** Our communication channel is a WhatsApp group. **15:30 to 17:30 - Jam Session Part 1** We will play a range of songs which everyone can join in with. The second part of this session often has a theme around an artists, genre or season. Each song has an instrumental section, and we encourage people to improvise, harmonise or just to play it as they feel it. We put the words and chords on the TV screens and we start playing together. **17:30 to 18:00 - Food Break** Grab something from the menu, chat to your fellow players, meet new people. Look through the song book. Start playing random stuff. **18:00 to 20:00 - Jam Session Part 2** We will play some more advanced songs. The last part of the session is requests from the jam group. Come and join us for a play-a-long jam. We will be based in the cellar bar at Iguana on Mannerheimintie. We keep it simple ... we put the words and chords on laptop. Please bring a tablet if you have one so you can also access the songbook at ukejam.online ... or you can use one of our TV screens we will have dotted around the place. We will have a limited number of spare ukuleles and guitars. If you don't play anything, you are welcome to come and just hangout, sing if you want to. If you like, pick up a ukulele, and someone will help you play a few simple chords and play along. If you have your own instrument, it is best to bring it. Also if you have a tablet, you can access the songbook at ukejam.online and then you don't have to stare at the TV screen all night. Everyone is welcome ... we also have a community WhatsApp group that you can join when you come to the event. We aim to be a safe and inclusive space for everyone. Beginners and experienced musicians are equally welcome. This isn't an open stage, but a space where a large group of people can play along together, in a style that is comfortable to them. It's all about meeting people, and about enjoying music together ... more like a camp fire sing-a-long where everyone is welcome.

Her path led her to a one-year art therapy training grounded in a psychodynamic approach, deepening her interest in creativity as a tool for care, expression, and transformation. Giulia has facilitated creative workshops with adults, adolescents, children, and people with disabilities, shaping spaces where art becomes a shared process rather than a finished product. In 2024, she brought her practice to Helsinki, organising her first creative workshop in collaboration with Mieli Without Borders during Mental Health Art Week.
