Hello All, We've been there a couple of times already, but this time it will be most beautiful, various white, yellow, and blue flowers are blooming in wide parts of the forest. We will meet and start at the "Centre Culturel" in Bergem, which is also the starting point of the "Bergem Autopedestre". https://maps.app.goo.gl/qJkGPk3pkFdvkxv76 There is a parking lot, if you want to come by car, but you can also get there easily by public transport. The terrain is quite flat, just 250m up/down for 15 km, easy also for beginners. Hiking shoes are recommended nevertheless, some parts are known to be a bit slippery or even muddy. After around 10km, we will find a place for the lunch break, about 15-30 minutes, depending on the weather. Current forecast shows some drops of rain before the break, but we will see. **Public Transport:** Bus 611 will leave at 10:40 in front of Luxembourg "Gare Centrale" and will arrive at 11:06 in Bergem, bus stop "Bergem, Centre". We will start the hike right after the bus has arrived. **Carpool:** https://groupcarpool.com/t/to4p7r Please clearly state the place and time of departure, and as a passenger, kindly bring a pair of clean shoes for the return trip. Join us for a tour of Brothers Drake Meadery in Grandview, hosted by the owner Oron Benary. He will explain the mead-making process and offer us generous samples of their fine meads. Mead is basically wine that is made from honey instead of grapes. There are many different flavors that range from dry, semi-dry, semi-sweet, to sweet. They are best known for their Apple Pie Mead. Oron has offered us a special price of 5.00 each person for the tour and tasting, which is normally 25.00 per person. I've taken the tour several times, and it's always enlightening and fun. Rebecca will bring a tea that will pair well with the mead for a tea tasting afterwards. Park anywhere around the building. Please avoid parking in front of the houses in the neighborhood behind the Meadery. Please keep your RSVP current.
