* **Inclusive Atmosphere:** We welcome all languages and levels, and make sure everyone feels comfortable—especially if you're coming alone! It’s a relaxed environment perfect for making new friends and practising languages at your own pace.
* **Socialising:** Coming alone or with friends, this is a great opportunity to meet new people in the city. * **Arrive!** No need to register, just come to our event any time between 7-9pm and our event host will welcome you. They will have an orange lanyard and will be sitting next to our sign.
* **Write your ‘Language Label’.** Here you can write your name, the languages you are learning, and the languages you can help others with.
* **Pay.** Our £1 event fee pays for our lovely event hosts and keeps the event going. Card only please.
* **Get talking!** With the help of our host you will be able to find other people attending the event with compatible language interests - we are all very friendly and the majority of our attendees come alone, so there’s no need to worry about getting involved!

FRIEND OF DOROTHY TALK: CONNOR MINNEY, FOUNDER OF GAYNS
---
TALK TOGETHER. MEET GAY MEN. BUILD COMMUNITY.
---
This Friend of Dorothy event is about bringing gay men together in real life to connect, share ideas and build genuine friendships.
Join us at Boys Boys Boys for an intimate conversation with Connor Minney, founder of Gayns — a platform created to bring gay men together through shared experiences, groups and real-world community.
During the evening we’ll explore the story behind Gayns, the reality of loneliness within the gay community, and why creating spaces for meaningful connection has never been more important. Expect an honest and open discussion about what it takes to build community, why many gay men still struggle to find it, and how new ideas and initiatives are helping change that.
But like all Friend of Dorothy events, this isn’t just about the talk.
It’s about creating spaces where gay men can meet, share experiences and feel part of something bigger than themselves. Hosted at Boys Boys Boys, a venue known for bringing people together through thoughtful and social experiences, the evening offers plenty of opportunity to chat, meet new people and connect with others who are looking for the same thing.
Come for the conversation.Stay for the connection.Leave feeling part of something growing.
---
Everyone attending will also receive FREE Cum Gummies and Muscle Gummies, courtesy of Friend of Dorothy Wellness.
All profits from ticket sales will be donated to Impulse London, supporting their work promoting sexual health and wellbeing within the gay community.

DREAMY OASIS: Fantasy in Light & Motion Photoshoot
TICKETS MUST BE PURCHASED VIA THIS LINK ONLY:
[TICKETS](https://fatso.ma/3pye)
Inspired by the serene, flowing atmosphere, this shoot explores movement, light, and natural textures in a calm yet expressive creative environment. The concept blends dance, fashion, and storytelling - creating visuals that feel like stepping into a dreamlike oasis hidden inside the city. ✨
Flowing fabrics, wooden textures, and soft natural light come together to create an illusion-like world where models move freely, fabrics drift through the air, and photographers capture those fleeting in-between moments.
This shoot invites dancers, yogis, and movement artists to guide models through simple, fluid motions and poses, helping everyone explore natural body movement, fabric flow, and expressive energy. Through gentle movement, breath, and rhythm, participants will discover new ways to pose and create organic, graceful imagery that captures motion in a soft and dreamlike way. ✨
**THEME**
**“Dreamy Oasis – The Art of Movement”**

This concept focuses on grace, motion, and softness.
Think:
* Flowing fabrics drifting through the air
* Gentle turns, spins, and slow movements
* Organic textures and warm tones
* Dreamlike imagery where stillness meets motion
The aim is to capture moments that feel spontaneous and alive — movement frozen beautifully through photography.

Dancers may also guide models through simple flowing movements, helping everyone discover new ways of expressing emotion and motion in front of the camera.
The goal is to create editorial, artistic, and dreamy visuals while maintaining a supportive collaborative atmosphere.
**STYLE & VISUAL DIRECTION**
The overall palette should feel soft, warm, and ethereal.
Key aesthetic elements:
✨ Flowing fabrics and natural silhouettes

✨ Earth tones and warm neutrals
✨ Soft creams, sand, beige, ivory
Contrast colours are welcome to add visual interest:

Discuss & Social 🍷 Style/fashion: shallow consumerism or fabric of identity?
Can anyone truly escape style and fashion? Whether we wear casual hoodies like in a tech startup, or designer pieces from the catwalk, we all signal something about who we are and where we belong. While many rightly criticise the industry for its consumerism and waste, are we unfairly neglecting fashion as a form of culture, creativity and identity compared to e.g. painting, design, architecture, entrepreneurship, etc?
We'll discuss...
1- How many of our closest friends dress very differently from our own style?
2\. Do our clothes say more than just their function? Could they communicate something we didn't intend?
3\. Can we appreciate fashion as art\, creativity and identity \(like we do for painting\, design\, architecture\, entrepreneurship\, etc\) while criticising its industry issues?
*Join us for a relaxed group conversation where we explore the real life, the grey areas, and how our different cultures and backgrounds shape our views about key topics.* *Expect real talk, no judgment, and a chance to learn how others see it.*
**\*Come for the discussion, stay for the friendships. Our weekly discussion series brings together thoughtful people for honest conversations on relationships, life, and society - with warm social vibes before and after.\***
**WHAT TO EXPECT:**
* Good vibes only: we chat big topics in a chill, respectful way. No arguing - just open-minded exchange.
* We warm up with casual socializing (come solo or with friends!)
* The topic starts around 7:45/8pm, wraps around 9:30.
* 🍕 There's pizza, drinks, milkshakes and snacks available at the bar (incl plant-based options)
* And most people stay until late for drinks and mingling!
**DISCUSSION FORMAT:**
**\- Our group conversations are open and flexible\! There is a very soft guided flow to ensure we focus on the key questions\, and to ensure that everyone gets a balanced opportunity to speak\.**
\- We rotate groups intentionally during the discussion so everyone gets to meet a wider mix of people and perspectives\.
\- After the structured part\, you’re free to mix and mingle with anyone\.
**Here's a typical discussion structure, but we may adjust this depending on the turnout:**
\- Introductions and initial thoughts *(\~5 mins).*
\- Group breakouts per question *(\~20 mins x 3).*
\- Final round of opinions *(\~10 mins)*.
\- Mix and mingle\, make new friends\, get drinks etc *(\~until late)*
**Rules & etiquette:**
1\. Debate the topic\, not the participants \- no personal attacks please\.
2\. No phones\, no interrupting\, no bystanding\.
3\. Always follow the moderator/host instructions and guidelines\.
**WHAT IS WORLD CITIZENS?**
We're one of London's longest-running and largest communities. Since 2012 we run socials, cultural activities and stimulating discussions to foster meaningful exchange and learning among London's global professionals. They are inspired by MUN (Model United Nations) and salon discussions and offer a more relaxed and social evening version.

CLOTHES MAKING & ALTERING WORKSHOP
**Bookable via our website ➡️** [https://www.thegoodlifecentre.co.uk/events/clothes-making-altering-workshop-5-weeks-2/](https://www.thegoodlifecentre.co.uk/events/clothes-making-altering-workshop-5-weeks-2/)
**⋆⋆⋆**
Do you want to jump into making your own clothes but have never used a pattern? Do you wish to copy a beloved piece of clothing? Would you like to learn how to adjust your own pattern to fit just you?
Learn how to take body measurements, read and alter a commercial pattern to fit, lay out and cut fabric and construct a finished garment to a high standard using one of our Janome 525s or Bernina 1008 series sewing machines.
During the sessions of this small group of learners you will gain confidence and improve any sewing skills you already have.
If you have never used a machine, we can guide you through making a simple garment from a purchased pattern. Bring your own pattern or use one of our small selection.
If you have sewing experience but want to start creating your own patterns, you can learn how to create a bespoke piece of clothing. You can also bring a piece of clothing to alter or fix.
We supply the basics and the calico you will use to make a ‘toile’ (an inexpensive mock up) to save you ruining your chosen final fabric.

Kind Exchange: Vegan Book & Plant Swap
[The Kind Exchange](https://www.facebook.com/events/3087825058070662/)
A gathering to share, swap, and connect with like-minded people who care about plant-based living, sustainability, and mindful choices.
This is more than a swap — it’s a space to circulate what we already have and meet others in the community.
Bring any of the following to share:
* **Vegan-related books** (cookbooks, sustainability, mindful living, etc.)
* **Plants or cuttings** (optional)
Swap for something new-to-you from others. *The more you bring, the more there is to exchange!*
Please RSVP so we can plan accordingly- [https://form.jotform.com/260975490897073](https://form.jotform.com/260975490897073?utm_id=97758_v0_s00_e0_tv4&fbclid=IwZXh0bgNhZW0CMTAAYnJpZBExVGxJeFRub0FQNmhUcmF3VnNydGMGYXBwX2lkEDIyMjAzOTE3ODgyMDA4OTIAAR4u9YhVWcSkITKfEn_NajeEUIyxFrXbcaG0HjFHoQn-MCxKlhGlUpFAnsMIzw_aem_vo9QISntFpTtGskmWaVEkQ)
