Join us to set up for the [Special Olympics Track and Field competition](https://www.sotx.org/event-detail/19053566)! General Set-Up Volunteers play a vital role in preparing competition venues for Special Olympics events. This role supports a wide variety of sports and playing surfaces, including courts, fields, and indoor or outdoor facilities. We will be unloading trucks, setting up tents, tables, chairs and more. This will help ensure the venue is safe, organized, and ready for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. Volunteers should be able to bend, kneel, stretch, and lift 10 lb boxes. Bring Drivers License or picture ID to volunteer checkin. Note that setup is scheduled for *the evening before* the big event. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be.
