Let's back to run ! We will meet by the Magic Fountain (Font Magica de Montjuic (https://goo.gl/maps/RWPuTcn8htM2)) - Plaça de Carles Buïgas at the end of the first stairs - just 2 minutes walking from placa Espana towards Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. We'll decide the route on the day.. or just follow Olivier... ;) We'll meet at 7:00pm but we'll start running at 7:05pm. Please be on time. Normally we do about 8-10kms in an hour during which we climb to the castle at the top of Montjuic. The accumulated elevation is about 300m depending on the route. Note that this is *NOT* a beginner's run. It can be quite challenging. We recommend that you only join this run if, on a flat course, you can do 10km in 50mins or less or really like running up hill! If not it might be better to first start with one of the beach runs on Tuesday or Thursday. Starting from October it is getting dark pretty early and not all the streets of the route have lights. If you have a headlamp please bring it with you but it is not mandotory. Let´s do the entire route together and after the training we can go as usual for a fresh drink at a bar nearby *** De vuelta en el Montjuic ! Quedamos en la Plaça de Carles Buïgas (donde está la Font Magica de Montjuic), exactamente aquí (https://goo.gl/maps/RWPuTcn8htM2), al lado de la barandilla que está al final de las primeras escaleras. Si vienes desde plaça Espanya, son 2 minutos caminando en dirección al Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. Cada lunes hacemos un recorrido distinto por Montjuic que decidimos en el mismo día… o sencillamente seguimos a Olivier… ;) Nos encontramos a las 7:00, y empezamos a correr a las 7:05. Normalmente hacemos más o menos 8-10 km en una hora, subiendo hasta el castillo en la cima de Montjuic, con un desnivel positivo total de cerca de 300 metros. Es un entrenamiento exigente aunque accesible si ya tienes algo de experiencia corriendo. No está hecho para debutante. Por favor apúntate solo si puedes correr 10km en 50 minutos mas o menos. De octubre a mayo el recorrido es de noche por lo que es recomendable llevar frontal, aunque si no tienes, no hace falta. Realizamos todo el recorrido juntos y después del entreno solemos ir a tomar algo a un bar cercano. The Monday class has now moved to Park Barceloneta and will be taken by Britta as Anthony is on full time daddy duty on a Monday evening until the end of April. Before you attend your first class, you MUST fill out this par-q https://forms.gle/1zN6VvvzfVBiAekx6 • What is it? - This class is designed to strengthen the whole body with an emphasis on run specific conditioning. Aiming to prevent injury by strengthening those weak muscles and stretching those problem areas. This will be hugely beneficial to our runners all of whom who should do some strength and conditioning work at least once a week. By coming along to class you get to do this under the instruction of an experienced coach and in the company of your friends from running intervals. • Where is it? - The class takes place in Park Barceloneta. See the map for the location. • When is it? - Strength and conditioning classes take place on a Monday evening at 7.30pm (Park Barceloneta), Wednesday evening at 7 pm (Park Barceloneta), and Thursday evening at 6pm (Park Barceloneta). • Who runs it? - The Monday class is lead by Britta. ¡Bienvenid@ a la Matinal de pádel del LUNES de PASCUA! Toda la mañana jugando a pádel, partidos nivelados con descansos. A diferencia del formato pozo, nosotros organizamos los partidos según tu nivel. Las parejas irán rotando, pero si quieres puedes venir con un acompañante y jugar todos los partidos con pareja fija. Nivel **iniciación** (0,5 - 1), **medio-bajo** (1,5 - 2), **medio** (2,5 - 3) y **medio-alto** (3,5 - 4). **TODOS LOS PARTIDOS SE JUGARÁN AL MEJOR DE 7 JUEGOS (es decir, el primero que llegue a 4 juegos gana y finaliza el partido).** Al acabar el partido sube al punto de encuentro para recibir instrucciones del organizador. **Horario: VIERNES de 10:00h a 14:00h**. **This class is Free\! \| Esta clase es Gratuita\!** **No previous experience is required.** \| **No se requiere experiencia previa.** \- La descripción en español se encuentra en la parte inferior \- **This is a Beginner level Parkour class** however, Intermediate and Advanced traceurs are also welcome to join, as we adapt the exercises to the ablities of each individual. In broad terms Parkour is about overcoming obstacles, both physically and mentally. In this class you will learn and drill the fundamentals of Parkour. Each class will be a full body workout, using only your own weight. We will work on improving our strength, mobility, flexibility and endurance. We do this by running, jumping, climbing and balancing. The workouts take place in an urban environments: on flat ground with obstacles, walls, edges and railings. Wear multiple layers of clothes so you can adjust as you get warmer/cool off. Minimum age for this class is 18 years old. Instruction are in English and basic Spanish. Wear comfortable clothes and sports shoes, recommeded to bring water. \-\-\-\- En términos generales, el Parkour consiste en superar obstáculos, tanto física como mentalmente. **En esta clase aprenderás y practicarás los fundamentos del Parkour.** Cada clase será un entrenamiento de todo el cuerpo, utilizando sólo tu propio peso. We will meet at La Querida, Passeig de Pujades 33, [https://goo.gl/maps/u5ZpycVXeZb7XyeE9](https://goo.gl/maps/u5ZpycVXeZb7XyeE9) You can leave your stuff there and we will begin running from outside the bar. A description of the route is below for your information. Before the run, we take a group photo and after we drink and/or eat at the bar (not mandatory). We will chat a bit before starting to run. The distance is about 10 kilometers (\~6 miles). However, there are plenty of opportunities to turn back before and sometimes people run a shorter distance. Each person runs at her/his own pace. Most of the time people are talking/chatting so it's honestly a casual run. Mini groups tend to form according to pace. Please note people run at their own risk and please if you have any medical condition make sure you let someone know and be sensible, run within your abilities. And don't forget to check our [facebook group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/319006355235925/) for news and activities! We kick off by running into the Ciutadella Park via the main gate. We then take a right to exit the park and immediately take a left to run alongside the round wall of the zoo (Passeig de Cicumvallacio). We then turn right at Carrer de Ramon Trias Fargas and head towards the beach. We then take a left turn and run along the beach heading northeast. Along the coast, we cross the Passeig Maritim de la Mar Bella for a quick stop at the water fountain and then turn back. The main change on the way back is that we turn right at the tram station along the other wall of the zoo (continuation of Carrer de Wellington) and once we reach the end of the wall, we are back to Passeig Pujades where we end our run.

View English version below Hola, ¿Quién se anima a correr o caminar en Barceloneta mientras el sol nace? **#¿Qué hacemos?** Quedamos delante de Buenas Migas de Barceloneta. Después de un breve calentamiento, unos salimos a correr y otros van a caminar. Todos, nos reunimos al final para charlar mientras algunos aprovechan de un buen chapuzón en el mar (opcional - traer bañador y toalla si os animáis). Con los que no tienen prisa vamos a tomar un café/desayuno después. **#¿Qué nivel necesitas?** Ninguno, no importa si lo que te gusta es caminar, si estas empezando en el mundo del running o si eres un(a) campeón(a), estas bienvenid@. En general, somos entre 10 y 25 personas. Nos reunimos al principio y al final de la actividad, pero nos dividimos en 3 o 4 grupos más pequeños en función de nuestros ritmos y de las distancias que queremos hacer. We all meet again at the end to chat while some of us enjoy a refreshing splash in the sea (optional - bring a swimsuit and towel if you’re in). For those who are not in a hurry, we then go to have a coffee / breakfast close by. **#What level of running/walking is required?** None, it does not matter if what you like is walking, if you are a beginner runner or if you are a champion, you are welcome, and you won’t get lost. In general, we are between 10 and 25 people. We meet at the beginning and at the end of the activity, but we divide ourselves into 3 or 4 smaller groups according to our pace and the distances we want to run/walk. Those who walk, the “tranquilo” runners (6 - 7.30 min per km), those who go at a medium pace (5 - 6min per km), and those who want to run faster (4 - 5 min per km). **#Price?** The activity is free. You can text me and I can send you my location. • When is it? - Running intervals runs every Tuesday at 07:15am (Barceloneta), Tuesday at 7.30pm (Glories), Wednesday at 8pm, and Thursday evening at 7pm. (both Barceloneta) • Who runs it? - These classes are led by me! My name is Alan Urquhart and I am from Scotland. I am a Level 4 Advanced Personal Trainer and I have been in the health and fitness industry for 26 years. For 14 years I was a runner, taking part in road, hill, cross country, and track, in distances from 1 mile to marathon.
