Street parking is available. We play in the Great Hall -- as you enter the library, we are on the right of the room. **All skill levels are encouraged to participate.** Lessons for new players (as needed) at 6:00pm. Learn about new games, play games, meet new friends, and have a good time! All ages and levels of experience/knowledge of games are welcome as long as you have a willingness to learn and/or teach your games. Host will provide some games but as always, you are welcome/encouraged to bring your own (recommended you know them and/or ready to teach them). Every month on the second Thursday Justin Heath and Mari Carlson run bluegrass jam for players of all skill levels. Traditional fiddle tunes and bluegrass songs are encouraged, but the odd country or Grateful Dead song are welcome as long as we can grassify it. Jammers should know at least the basics of their instrument, so they can play along with the group. If you are not comfortable taking solos or leading songs feel free to just strum along. Samba gives a great cardio work out and introduces to Brazilian culture. Join the fun staff of Vava United School of Samba instructors for a samba experience. 8:00pm class is for absolut beginners to dancers looking to sharpen technique. 9:00pm is for experienced sambistas that want to heighten their stamina, learn Combinations and love the samba rhythms. For April's game of the month we are playing the action role-playing game "Transistor." From the devs: *Transistor is a sci-fi themed action RPG that invites you to wield an extraordinary weapon of unknown origin as you fight through a stunning futuristic city. Transistor seamlessly integrates thoughtful strategic planning into a fast-paced action experience, melding responsive gameplay and rich atmospheric storytelling.* It is available for PC, Mac, iOS, PS4, and Switch. Play through it and we will discuss it on the 12th! You do not need to play all or even any of the game to attend but please be prepared to be spoiled at the meeting :-) p.s. Since 1961, Amnesty International USA has fought to protect human rights as the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization. Our local group generally meets the second Wednesday of every month at the Cleveland Park Library. Each month, we do letter writing actions, discuss human rights issues in the news, and plan for hosting or participating in occasional events area events. This is a face-to-face language exchange event. DO NOT try to arrange an online meeting, by using the comment box or direct message. 7.
