This continues our community events, bringing people together around DevOps, PowerShell scripting, and automation in the Netherlands. While this boosts productivity, it also introduces a new risk: secrets leaking into prompts, suggestions, logs, or chat history. This session shows how to set up a local engineering environment using PowerShell so secrets never end up in code, source control, or an IDE’s AI assistant.* *The session starts with pragmatic local engineering patterns: separating configuration from code, structuring local secret files, and using .gitignore correctly to prevent accidental exposure. From there, it moves to a secure-by-default approach using the PowerShell SecretManagement and SecretStore modules. Do you love books, or have you been wanting to get into reading more? Then this might just be the event for you! At this book swap everyone brings one or a few books they no longer need. We put them all out on the table and from there it's up to you, see if something catches your eye and take home whatever you'd like to read next. Any language is welcome, so bring whatever is sitting on your shelf! At the end of the evening you can take back the books you brought that weren't picked up, or leave them with the organiser who will donate them to a local secondhand shop. This event is organised on a weekday evening as a nice little break in the middle of the week to meet fellow book lovers over a good drink. **Bonus for the walkers 🚶‍♀️** After the event the organiser will walk back to Utrecht Centraal for anyone who wants to join. Sinds 2018 heeft hij zich gespecialiseerd in het toegankelijk maken van apps door ondersteuning in te bouwen voor diverse toegankelijkheidsfuncties. Hij leidt de W3C Mobile Accessibility Task Force, is voorzitter van de Stichting Appt en medeoprichter van Abra, waar hij software ontwikkelt om automatisch toegankelijkheidsfouten in apps te detecteren. **Over Mike Slinkman** Mike ontwikkelt al meer dan 5 jaar (toegankelijke) apps. Sinds 2023 werkt Mike bij Abra, waar hij zich heeft gespecialiseerd in het toegankelijk maken van apps. Drawing on currents such as Arabfuturism, the films in this programme use speculative fiction as a way of thinking through generational and environmental wounds in ways realism cannot hold. In effect, the “fiction” of science-fiction becomes a powerful means of comprehension, where fabulation helps offer new political imaginaries. Greetings writers! Come down and join your fellow wordsmiths for one hour of uninterrupted writing time in the upper level of the Market District Supermarket in Upper Arlington. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome. The cafe may be noisy on occasion so headphones/ earbuds are reccommended as you see fit. Please try to RSVP if possible so that we may grab enough seats for all—the venue can be busy at times.
