I’m pretty sure many people in Vienna still haven’t been there — which makes it even more special to discover together. We’ll take a relaxed walk through the park, enjoy the spring atmosphere, chat, and simply spend a nice time 🌿 Come join us — whether you’re new in the city or have lived here for years, it’s a nice way to spend an afternoon and meet friendly people. Hi Running fellows, Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us! Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast! Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45. We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier. It’s only very recently that a visible portion of trans people has been allowed entrance to the documented workforce. But not just our ancestors and elders are unthinkable without the domain of sex work, it’s just the same for our contemporary community. So we’re delighted to announce a collaborative event with Berlin’s very own Trans\*sexworks, a peer-to-peer support structure and a network for and made up of Trans\*sex workers. A feast for your eyes: Come explore these vineyards and corn fields, which are Vienna's equivalent of Sonoma Valley. After conveniently meeting up at Vienna Main Station (Wien Hauptbahnhof), we'll first cross through a trendy neighbourhood, leaving urban Vienna and then walk up to a point from where you can see, weather permitting, as far as to the Lower Carpathians. After getting lost in the nearby vineyards, we then venture further downhill until reaching a tree-lined creek. Following the waves, we eventually reach a small village in Lower Austria province, from where a quick train ride will take us back to Vienna Main Station. Along the way, we’ll have: * beautiful forest and hill views * a viewpoint from a tower with a view over the aqueduct * and we’ll also see the Liechtenstein Castle 🏰 So it’s one of those routes where you get a bit of everything — nature, views, and some really nice photo spots 📸 **Route details:** * distance: ~8 km * elevation: ~200 m up & down * walking time: around 2.5-3 hours We’ll go at a comfortable pace, with time to enjoy the views, take photos, and just have a nice day together. **Participation** €8 organizational fee (does **not** include the train ticket) In case of bad weather conditions the trip will be postponed to 26.04. ——————— ❗️Please make sure to fill out the registration form: the link will be posted in the WA group ❗️

We'll hike 3.4 miles on the Killdeer and Yellowlegs Trails - both out and back gravel trails. If we want more mileage we can repeat an out and back. Pace of around 3.5 mph, no one left behind and those who want to go faster sure can! As always optional lunch after. This is the second Metro Park in the lineup for me - with 21 to go (plus more are being added).
