Trivia: 54 Restaurant, Springfield, VA - all levels welcome
We will be participating in a trivia night event at 54 restaurant located at the Springfield Town Center mall on Monday. Trivia starts at 7 pm.
Parking: There is free mall parking. There is also paid valet parking if you are feeling bougie.
There's a maximum of 7 people per team, so please show up by 6:45 pm so that we organize accordingly. We may field multiple teams depending on turnout.
Please plan on arriving and staying for the entire trivia event.
To ensure you get a spot on a trivia team:
* Please arrive by 6:45 PM, or notify the hosts that you are running late by 6:45 PM. If you arrive after 6:45 or don't notify the hosts, you are not guaranteed a spot on a trivia team and may need to form your own, separate team.
* Please RSVP so we know to expect you. Don't be like Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn from Wedding Crashers and crash a trivia event (i.e., don't show up without signing up on the attendee list).

Monday Evening Volleyball at the BISW
See the group description for rules, guidelines, and payment info (cost is $10). Remember to cancel your registration if you find you can't make it to an event to which you RSVP'd.
The code to access the gym will be sent to people who have registered shortly before the event. The code should be entered at the second door (furthest from Whitehaven Street) at the building opposite the main entrance of the school.
There is limited on-site surface-level parking available, as well as street parking around the facility. The underground parking lot off Whitehaven Street costs $5 an hour.
As always, participation in the volleyball is undertaken at the participant's own risk. The British International School, the sponsoring organization Virtuous Volleyball Inc., as well as the event organizer, are not liable for any injuries sustained in the course of participating, nor for any theft or damage to personal belongings.

**What**: GRASP Memorial Day BBQ and Field Games
**When**: Monday, May 25, 12:00pm-3:00pm
**Who**: This is a kid-friendly event meaning **everyone is invited**, with or without kids!
**Where**: Seneca Creek State Park, Buck Pavilion on Deer Ridge Rd. Due to the possibility of park capacity closures, **you may need to know the shelter and renter’s name** to gain entry into the park: **Buck Pavilion, Eli Winningham**.
**Cost**: Admission to the park is $3 for Maryland residents and $5 for non-residents. Otherwise, the **event is FREE** and we encourage you to come as our guest. Monday Morning Courthouse Run/Walk - 40 Min
On Monday, we'll meet in front of the Courthouse Library, 2100 Clarendon Blvd, and head towards the Arlington Cemetery and Memorial Bridge.
Notes:
If you're not familiar with the area, please review the routes. If it's cold, take cover inside the foyer area of 2100 Clarendon Blvd.
Routes:
We'll run 20 minutes out and then turn around and run 20 minutes back to Courthouse. Everyone runs at his/her own pace, so the distance will depend on your speed.
1. Courthouse Library > N Rhodes St. Bridge > Arlington Blvd > N Meade St. > Iwo Jima/Marine Corps Mem > Arlington Cemetery > Memorial Bridge. Depending on your preferred pace, you may turn around at any point on the route.
Pace:
All paces are welcome! We'll be doing an out and back route, so everyone will turn around at the halfway time marker. That way we should all start and end at the same time.
Free Parking at Courthouse Plaza:
The underground garage is on Clarendon Blvd btwn Wayne and Veitch Sts. (near Strayer/CVS and the AMC Theater). If the first 2 levels on the left are full, you can park on the lower levels to the right. Street and Surface Parking lots should be free in the area as well.
Metro:
Orange or Silver line to Courthouse Station.

COUNT monthly event: Kitchen service at Van Buren Center's shelter
Come assist Van Buren Shelter (https://ymcacolumbus.org/locations/vanburen) staff in serving dinners and cleaning up on the 3rd Tuesday of each month. Dinner for the women is 5-6 pm and for the families is 6:15-7:15 pm. There is ample free parking available in the shelter's lot. The recommended area to park is in green in the image above.
There will be a new entrance for the time being. We are asking all volunteers to enter through the Donation Dock door, the orange mark on the image above. This door is located between the Single Adults and Family Shelter. You will see 2 large garage doors with a large green trash compactor in the center. Please head to the closest garage door to the building wall, with a ramp leading up. There, you will see a door with a sign stating instructions on how to enter the building. Please ring the doorbell, and a staff member will come and escort you into the building. If a staff member takes longer than 5 minutes, please call the front desk at 614-689-2020. This is a new process for us, and we do not want to keep you waiting! We appreciate your patience as we navigate this temporary change.
The shelter needs a volunteer count the day before the event so sign-up ends Monday at 4:50 PM. Afterwards some of us go to the Omnipresent Atheists Weekly Meetup in progress to have a bit to eat or drink (http://www.meetup.com/omnipresentatheists/).
Volunteers must be 14 or older. Since we will be working around families, the YMCA does not permit volunteering by individuals with convictions for violent or sexual crimes. The YMCA reserves the right to run background checks on volunteers.

Like it or not, AI agents are now capable of turning a quickly written paragraph of requirements into a pull request that is ready to be integrated into real-world production applications and it's now our responsibility to make sure AI doesn't go rogue and take down prod - or corrupt our data by misunderstanding the requirements or our existing schemas. The cheapest parking option is to find street parking, which will only cost you a few bucks. Otherwise, park in the nearby veteran's museum lot for $8. It's highly recommended you avoid the nearby $15 garage parking.
