Sunday Tea Club was founded in Daejeon in 2023. Created as a quiet alternative to Korea’s typical drinking and nightlife culture, the club offers a calm, meaningful way to spend your Sunday afternoons. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. Even a partial read is more than enough to contribute, and bring the lines that you think the group will find interesting, and bring your reading notes — because unfiltered reactions tend to open up the most interesting threads. The group is open to anyone interested — and you will find the group easy to talk with from the start, everything else is taken care of once you are in the room, and the relaxed setting means there is no pressure on you.
