“Do We Really Understand What We’re Building?” - Hands-on Example Mapping
Back in August, we explored how Design Thinking can help us uncover and validate the right problems. But even when we agree on what to build, things often go wrong, not because of bad solutions, but because we don’t fully understand what the problem actually means in practice.
In this session, we’ll build on that idea and focus on the next step: turning vague ideas into something concrete, shared, and testable.
Using Example Mapping - a lightweight technique from Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) - we’ll work in small groups to:
* Break down a feature into rules, examples, and questions
* Surface hidden assumptions and edge cases
* Align on what the behaviour of a system should actually look like
If the previous session was about finding the right problem, this one is about understanding it well enough to build it right.
This is a hands-on workshop. Be prepared to participate fully and add to the energy of the room. Looking forward to seeing you there!

Agentic AI Engineering Lab #5 – Robust Deployments & The Orchestrator Agent
In our last sprint, we established our cloud-native foundation by containerizing our agents and deploying them to Google Cloud Run. But manual deployments don't scale and require you to dig out the exact docker build and gcloud push commands from your shell history every time you tweak your agent’s prompt.
**The Plan:**
This session is about creating a **truly robust, repeatable deployment process**. We will wrap up our infrastructure setup by writing GitHub Actions that automatically build and push our agent containers to Google Cloud Artifact Registry on every commit. With a solid, "set-and-forget" pipeline in place, we'll shift focus back to agent behavior. We will build a simple orchestrator agent that uses the A2A protocol to dynamically delegate tasks to the worker agents living in the cloud.
**This is a "Lab" session. We will:**
* Automate for Robustness: Replace manual command-line wrangling with a GitHub Action workflow to build and push our Docker images to GCP on every push to main.
* Build the Orchestrator: Develop a lightweight central agent designed to interpret a complex user prompt and route sub-tasks appropriately.
* Live Multi-Agent Communication: Establish an active dialogue over the A2A protocol between your local orchestrator and your newly deployed cloud workers.
**The Format**
We run our sessions like an anthology series: Every meetup is a standalone sprint. While we often build on previous results, each session provides a complete experience and remains fully accessible to first-time attendees. This is a high-density micro-meetup limited to 6 seats.
**What you'll build**
By the end of the session, you'll have:
* A Repeatable CI/CD Pipeline: A set-and-forget GitHub Action that handles the Docker build and Artifact Registry push automatically, ensuring consistent deployments without the hassle.
* An Orchestrator Agent: A coordinator capable of breaking down requests and utilizing external agent tools.
* A Live A2A Network: A functioning multi-agent setup where your orchestrator successfully communicates with and aggregates results from your cloud-hosted workers.
**Schedule (Saturday, 10:00 - 13:00 CEST)**
* 10:00: Quick round of introductions.
* 10:15: Intro session: Robust CI/CD with GitHub Actions, Artifact Registry, and Orchestrator routing patterns.
* 10:30: Build time: CI/CD automation & building the Orchestrator.
* 12:00: Live demos + technical teardown.
* 12:45: Wrap-up + takeaways.
**Prerequisites**
* Accounts: A Google Account (for GCP) and a GitHub Account (for Actions).
* Laptop with dev setup: Docker and Git installed and working.
* Access to an LLM API: (Gemini, Claude, OpenAI, etc.).
* Mindset: This is a lab for engineers, not a tutorial. We learn by building, breaking, and iterating.
**Logistics**
* Location: We meet at my office in the Grunewald area near Martin-Luther-Krankenhaus. The exact address will be shared privately with attendees to maintain privacy.
Capacity: Limited to 6 seats.

Probemonat: Traditioneller Tantra Yoga Kurs
**Kursbeschreibung Traditioneller Tantra Yoga Kurs**

* Each player has 15 checkers and moves them toward their home board.
* Dice rolls decide how many spaces you can move.
* Land on an opponent’s single checker to send it to the bar.
* Once all your checkers are home, start bearing off (removing them).
* First to remove all checkers wins!
***
**Fun Fact:**
The Origin of Backgammon: Backgammon is one of the oldest known board games, with roots deeply embedded in the ancient civilisations of Mesopotamia. But it is in Persia, where the game truly flourished and evolved into what we now know as 'Takhte Nard'.
Archaeological findings suggest that early forms of backgammon were played in Iran over 5,000 years ago. Artifacts such as game boards and dice have been discovered in sites like 'Shahr-e Sukhteh' (The Burnt City), indicating the game’s ancient origins.

GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.

Book Bedazzling (BYOB) - Bloodguard by Cecy Robson
Let's bedazzle some books while we discuss our April pick: Bloodguard by Cecy Robson!
Book description:
One hundred years. Tens of thousands of gladiators. And today, only one will rise…
Everything in the Kingdom of Arrow is a lie.
Leith of Grey thought coming to this new land and volunteering to fight in the gladiator arena—vicious, bloodthirsty tournaments where only the strongest survive—would earn him enough gold to save his dying sister. He thought there was nothing left to lose.
He was wrong—and they took everything. His hope. His freedom. His very humanity.
All Leith has left is his battle-scarred body, fueled by rage and hardened from years of fighting for the right to live another day.
Then Leith meets Maeve, an elven royal who is everything he despises. Everything he should hate. Until the alluring princess offers him the one thing he needs most: a chance to win the coveted title of Bloodguard—and his freedom.
But in a kingdom built on secrets and lies, hope doesn’t come cheap.
Nor will his ultimate revenge…
Event:
Please bring your own book, journal, bookmarks, etc to bedazzle. If you have bedazzling supplies, please bring them as well. I will supply gems, glue, and picker tools, but if you have certain colors in mind, you may want to bring your own.

Data & Analytics Wednesday - The Data-Driven Brand
**The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception**
Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory.
For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy.
She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps).
Ultimately, this talk focuses on the intersection of art and science—using data to inform creativity and build a brand that resonates with customers in a measurable way.
**About Our Speaker**
Sara Kear is Chief Marketing Officer at Condado Tacos, where she oversees brand, restaurant design, menu and pricing strategy, off-premise including catering, and customer data strategy. Since joining in 2021, she has helped grow the brand from 19 to 52 locations while building a data-driven marketing organization focused on loyalty and customer insights. Condado has since been named to the Inc. 5000, recognized as Breakout Retailer by Chain Store Age, and consistently ranked among FastCasual’s Top 100 Movers & Shakers.
