🇬🇧Toastmasters Nice is a bilingual (French and English) Toastmasters club, where we improve our public speaking and communication skills. We meet in person, and enjoy with tapas and wine at the beginning of the session to socialise. There is a 13 euros admission fee for the venue and the tapas. What you can expect is to have fun chatting with open-minded people: mostly in English or French, and sometimes in other languages. We will bring some games (in French!) for us to have fun and learn some French. For this event, we will play various games in French such as codenames, time's up, buzz it and more. It is a nice way to improve your French whilst having fun and meeting new people. If you're a fluent or native French speaker, you are more than welcome as well ! We will meet at the underground room of a nice bar called the Melting Pot. The room is small so I put a limit of 12 participants. There will be a waiting list so please unregister if your plans change to give a chance for others to join. There are a couple of rules to follow: The bar welcomes us under the condition that every participant buys a drink. And of course, do not bring your own food or drinks. Eager to see you ! Benoit

The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be. Private Group. Closed to the Public Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy. In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected. The goal of our series will be to develop expertise in areas of particular interest such as mediumship, channeling, divination, healing and, etc..
