Our Thirty-Fourth Walk!
Hello everyone!
Place to Meet: Toa Payoh MRT Passenger Service Control Centre
Time: 5pm
1\. Dinner at Toa Payoh MRT
2\. Walk along Lorong 6/7/8 Toa Payoh/Braddell Rd/Bishan Rd/Ang Mo Kio Ave 1/Upper Thomson Rd before ending at Bright Hill MRT
The route may be modified during the walk to better suit the group’s pace and fitness levels. The organizers will make adjustments as needed to ensure the walk remains enjoyable and manageable for all participants.
Do drop me a message via whatsapp or via meetup if you will be late.
You may consider the following:
1\. Comfortable Clothing
• Moisture-wicking fabrics: Avoid cotton, as it traps moisture and causes chafing. Instead, choose clothing made from materials like polyester, nylon, or merino wool, which keep you dry.
• Comfortable socks: Opt for moisture-wicking socks with cushioning to reduce the risk of blisters.
2\. Proper Footwear
• Well-fitting shoes: Ensure your shoes are properly broken in and provide enough support, especially if you're walking long distances. Sturdy hiking or walking shoes with good arch support are ideal.
• Blister prevention: Consider blister-resistant socks or pack blister pads to address any discomfort before it becomes a problem.
3\. Hydration
• Water bottle: Stay hydrated throughout the walk to maintain energy levels and prevent dehydration.
4\. Snacks
• Energy bars or trail mix: Portable, nutrient-packed snacks high in carbohydrates and protein—perfect for refueling during breaks.
• Nuts or dried fruit: Easy to carry and great for providing long-lasting energy.
5\. Umbrella
• Umbrella: Bring one in case of rain to stay dry and comfortable\.
6\. Optional Gear
• Tissues or wet wipes: Handy for personal hygiene or cleaning your hands after eating or drinking.
7\. Small Backpack or Waist Pack
• Use a small, comfortable bag to carry your essentials. Ensure it fits snugly and doesn’t rub or chafe over time.

When: Sunday 5th Apr 5 pm\*\*
\*\*This is a Rain or Shine event. Please take a good lunch or bring along some snacks if you feel hungry along the way. Our walks are usually between 8 - 12 km long. Just so you know, the weather may be hot but as the sun sets, the weather should be cooler.
Please be punctual. You are encouraged to be slightly early to avoid disappointments. There will be 5 minutes grace for attendance taking. Please remember that we cannot wait because this would be unfair to those already present.
Explore the newly opened Bidadari Park together! We will start our journey from Bishan and head towards Potong Pasir.
Situated at a focal point amidst four districts in the Bidadari estate — Woodleigh, Alkaff, Park Edge and Bartley Heights— the 13-hectare park occupies more than 10 per cent of the Bidadari estate’s land area.
The park's design drew inspiration from the Hundred Acre Wood inhabited by the characters from children's story "Winnie-the-Pooh", and encompasses a myriad of habitats from woodlands, grasslands to marshes.\*
\*Source: https://mothership.sg/2024/09/bidadari-park-open/

\*MCKS Inner Teachings of Christianity Revealed (Expanded Edition) book can be purchased separately at $60 from CIS.
Just as Lord Jesus spoke to the multitudes through parables, He reserved the deeper “keys to the kingdom of heaven” for those closest to Him — the inner teachings of extraordinary power that have, for centuries, remained beyond the reach of most seekers.
For the first time, Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui unveils these profound principles and techniques, offering a direct and living transmission of the Love and Wisdom at the very heart of Lord Jesus’ priceless teachings.
These are not merely concepts to be studied — they are transformative practices that empower you to experience the reality of Christ Consciousness here and now, while still walking the physical plane.
Drawing upon his vast knowledge of world cultures, religions, and mystical traditions, Grandmaster Choa Kok Sui peels back the layers of centuries-old symbols and rituals to reveal their true, living meaning. What has long been practiced in the form alone is now understood in spirit and in depth.
These revelations illuminate the truths in Christianity — offering every participant a profoundly renewed, enriched, and deeply personal connection to the teachings of Lord Jesus and to the path of authentic spirituality.
In this fascinating workshop, you will be enlightened and empowered with Teachings and the Esoteric Practices that include:
* The **Lord's Prayer** as an Advanced Method of Activating the Chakras.
* Secret **Purification Rituals by the Essenes.**
* The Inner Teachings behind the **Baptism by Fire, Water, Air and the Holy Spirit**.
* The **Trinity and the 3 Universal Aspects of God** found in the major religions.
* The Inner Meaning of **Lord Jesus washing the feet of the apostles**.
* Learn the Formula of **becoming One with your Higher Self through the Verse of the Camel Eye of the Needle**
* Understand the relationship between one's **Spiritual Anatomy and the Inverted Tree of Life's Twelve Fruits**, as mentioned in Revelations.
* **Transfiguration** and its connection to the verse, "**Let your eyes be one and your body filled with Light."**
* The true meaning of the **Pentecostal Fire**...and much more!

Art Night - Bring Your Own Work
Welcome to the Art School - 20's & 30's artists Meetup group! This is a community for young artists who are passionate about exploring different mediums and techniques in the world of art. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, photographer, or mixed media artist, this group is the perfect place to connect with like-minded individuals, have a space to work on your craft, and showcase your work. This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists.
Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.
