ABOUT THIS INNER BALANCE MEDITATION SERIES:
Every third Tuesday of the month, Ellen (Radha) offers a gentle, guided healing meditation. The sessions often begin with simple upper body (sitting) stretches, then move into awareness of breath, internal senses and finally, guided meditation. We are led into a space that feels somewhere been here and not here... connecting us to our pre-conscious and subconscious states. With her gentle voice and intentional words, Ellen helps us tap into our individual capacities for healing and compassion.
Each session unfolds organically, connecting us intimately with ourselves. This provides an internal sense of emotional safety, and combined with the peaceful, accepting group energy results in an experience of deep restoration.
Ellen (Radha) Is a licensed psychotherapist and a seasoned meditation instructor. She has studied and immersed herself in a wide range of spiritual teachings, practices and communities throughout the course of her life.
There is no cost. Please share your love, kindness, and compassion generously with all you come in contact, and most profoundly with yourself!
15 Minutes of Mindfulness
Stop what you're doing and give yourself 15 minutes to just "be". Together we'll let go of all of the noise, the distractions, the to-dos...and just sit in silence and reset. You're allowed! Make 2021 the year that you start being kind to yourself and recognize that you need a break every now and then.
Lectio at Lunch
Lectio simply means “read” or “text”. It is a prayerful reading of a text multiple times (Scripture), interspersed with silence.
The “Lectio at Lunch” practice is provided to offer you an additional avenue of spiritual practice during a time of physical distance. It will be offered weekly on Tuesdays from 12:15-12:45 via Zoom.

Perth Weight Loss Support Group - Saturday Morning Meetings
Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am
People who attend support groups lose more weight than those who go it alone.
You don’t have to lose weight all by yourself - in fact it’s probably best that you don’t.
Research shows that having support on your weight loss journey enhances self-esteem and provides motivation to keep going.
A study published recently in the American Journal of Medicine found that participants who attended weekly support meetings, lost on average, five times more weight than those who relied solely on the information and advice that they were given.

Recovering The Way: A fusion of Qigong, Western Medicinal Theory and 12-Step
I'm Dan Weicher, developer of Recovering the Way, which is a fusion of qigong, the Scientific Method and 12-step.
Some time after coming into a 12 step program I met with Dr. Roger Jahnke OMD of The Institute Of Integral Qigong, It started a long and deep learning experience of integrating the principles of Internal Alchemy into my life. I realized pretty soon that the 12-step paradigm was also one of Alchemy, and the two of them worked well together.
You might be saying, “That’s really nice for you, Dan, but I'm not interested in meditation", or "That’s really nice for you, Dan, I don't need a program for addiction" Bu there's a new pathology in the world now now that tis coming directly at us. And I don’t just mean the pandemic of the COVID virus. I'm talking about, if you a virus of freneticism that has overtaken us like a tsunami.
We all have addictive tendencies, and just like gene expression, certain environmental phenomena can bring to surface the dis-ease. And it’s nearly impossible for us to avoid the effects of the new world of electronic phenomena and it is laying bare the compulsive, addictive parts of our personalities. Where people may not have considered themselves dependent, it’s being laid bare now for us.
So, why this fusion? Just as Chinese medicine is a paradigm for healing and Western medicine is a paradigm for healing, the 12-Step process is a paradigm for healing. The fusion of the paradigms is how I healed and it can work for you too.
I've seen in recovery circles that there are many people who have come to grips with a lot of their pressing issues but they're still very rife and tense, as if the body won't stop being in a state of excitation.
I've also seen many people come into yoga or meditation class expecting for the addictive or compulsive part of their personality to abate and subside. It doesn’t necessarily always work.
Recovering The Way is advantageous for those people who might be looking to see how they can integrate themselves better into today’s life.
The practice is in the format of a Qigong Class, incorporating parts of the Tai Chi Easy program and Integral Qigong. No experience is necessary, it is pleasing, almost effortless and can be done seated, standing or just listening. Seasoned practitioners and novices each find it beneficial. We have amongst us Physicians, Scientists, Doctors of Oriental Medicine, Teachers and people from all walks of life and all ages. It is easy seamless and graspable to just about anybody.
We bring into the body aspects of mind that allude us and visa versa. By integrating simplified Qigong (gentle movement, breath regulation, meditation and self massage), with simplified Recovery principles (self awareness of conduct and thought) we attain a level of internal harmony that may surprise us. This is all done under the backdrop a simple understanding of the most modern aspects of human physiology. In lay terms we are given valuable information on how the brain, the blood and or bodies interact.

Beginners to Intermediate Yoga - Focus on Asana, Body and Mind
I will be delivering weekly online classes suitable for beginners, or intermediate level. Each session will focus on a principal asana (posture) and using a series of warm up postures we will begin by mobilising and strengthening the key joints and muscles involved in our principal posture. I will offer modifications and variations so every level of ability can access the classes and benefit from the practice. Using asana, pranayama (breath control) and meditation we will learn how to become better acquainted with our own body, its capability and limitations as we progress.
Each session will begin with a short centring practice, allowing us time to destress by focusing our attention inward and reflecting on how our body is feeling. We will apply different yogic techniques as we move into and out of postures, allowing our mind and body to focus and relax. The pace and presentation of each lesson will give us a real understanding of our development as we continue to practice. Each session will end with a long relaxation allowing us to release all of the tensions of the day and absorb what we have achieved in our practice.
