Modern websites are complex, dynamic, and protected by many anti-scraping systems. At the same time, companies need large amounts of structured data from the web. In this event, we will focus on a real scraping use case and use it to explain how modern scraping works. You will learn what kinds of protections websites use today, what tools can be used depending on website difficulty, and what technical challenges appear in practice. Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 7:00pm on Wednesday, April 22 at Streetlight Guild. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice.
