We're meeting Saturday, 18 April at 8.00pm, at the beautiful old London pub, the Cittie of Yorke We have a capacity of 30 places, which are always filled, with the places initially given to Full Members and later to other members of the group. Hello Wimbledon creatives! After a few successful collage workshops, I have decided to keep it going and I am excited to announce the next one will be on Saturday 18 April 2026 from 2 to 4 pm at Wimbledon Library. Please ask at the reception for Exhibition Room 2 to find us upon arrival. The session runs from 2 to 4 pm. Please arrive at 2 pm so we can begin together, and we will finish at 4 pm. I allow 15 minutes at the beginning for setting up and settling in, and 15 minutes at the end for cleaning and packing away, so the creative workshop time itself lasts approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. We will dive into the art of combining magazines, newspaper pages, and coloured paper to craft unique and quirky pieces. Whether you are feeling a little lonely and want some warm company, looking for a playful and artistic date, simply want to explore your creative side, or are tired of the digital world and want real interactions, this workshop is for you. Your ticket includes: All art materials to create your masterpiece but feel free to bring your own magazines or printed materials if you like. You just need a willingness to run around a LOT! Grief is often associated with the loss of a person, but many of us carry quieter, less recognised forms of grief. This workshop creates space to explore the grief that can arise after losing a community, a shared purpose, or a spiritual framework, especially in the aftermath of leaving a religious tradition or belief system. Together, we will gently examine what it means to grieve not only *what was*, but also *what was promised*: belonging, certainty, identity, and a sense of divine connection. Participants are invited to reflect on how loss of faith or religious community can affect meaning-making, relationships, and one’s inner life, often in ways that are invisible or misunderstood by others. You do not need to identify as spiritual or religious to attend. This space honours doubt, curiosity, longing, anger, relief, and hope, (without pushing answers or beliefs). Spanish Spring Weekend Fermín, an abstract painter facing a personal and financial crisis, lives in his friend’s studio in Madrid. Together, they will try to overcome their differences to create a modern version of Bosch’s The Garden of Earthly Delights. Considered one of the masters of contemporary Spanish comedy, Fernando Colomo wrote the script with his son Pablo, taking as a starting point their own father-son relationship, in a film they describe as a sort of “autofiction”.
