Hello everyone! We are back! We will be doing our 28th English conversation event on SATURDAY 11th April. We will all be walking up the hill together! (If you come on your bike you can lock it up at the entrance.) Please meet at the Pedro de Valdivia entrance of the hill (meeting point is the photo attached, on the picnic benches next to the coffee "Carro kmcerro". Also more info in the location section of this post) between 10am - 10.30am. **We will start walking up at 10.30am.** The idea is to walk, talk and enjoy nature. We meet at lunch each week and each meeting follows a fairly organized agenda. First all participants pass their business cards around. Then each member and guest is invited to give a one-minute overview of their company and what is a perfect referral for the week. The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be. It is directed by Steven Soderberg, stars Ian McKellen and Michaela Coel and has been earning rave reviews on the indie circuit. Option 2 is the latest action-thriller starring Bob Odenkirk, NORMAL! The film follows a temporary small-town sheriff who uncovers dark mysteries after a local bank robbery.
