At this meetup we will discuss a documentary about the human microbiome and how it affects our health. The microbiome — the community of bacteria living in our gut — plays an important role in digestion, immunity, metabolism, and even mood. Together we will reflect on ideas presented in the film and discuss questions such as: • What is the microbiome and why is it important? • How does food influence gut bacteria? • What foods support a healthier microbiome? • How do processed foods affect our body? • What are fermented foods and probiotics? • How can we gradually improve our eating habits? Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed.
