Llega poco a poco la muy esperada primavera con sus alergias y actuaciones hormonales… Existe un fantástico rincón en la cara norte del Cadí que se llena cada abril del así llamado azafrán de primavera, para crear junto con las escarpadas murallas de la sierra una de las postales más gloriosas de toda la Cerdanya. Este increíble prado situado a 1.826 m de altitud es el testimonio de una herencia glaciar que dejó atrás un cúmulo de sedimentos propicios para la biodiversidad. Iremos a descubrir el Prat de Cadí espaldado por un espectacular anfiteatro mineral y sus cimas: Costa Cabirolera, la Roca Verda, el canal de Cristall, la roca del Ordiguer… Después del diálogo con la inmensidad, hay la opcion de ir a conocer una formatgeria de montaña, sus cabras y descubrir cómo es la vida en una granja a 1600 metros de altitud. Y, por supuesto, lo mejor para el final: una mini cata de quesos que sabe aún mejor después de la aventura. Inspired by our successful events like "Saturday Mornings @ East Market" and other "Pot Luck in the Park" lunches, this gathering promises to be a blend of fun conversations, language exchange, and cultural insights, all while sharing wonderful foods with each other. Please bring a dish to share and anything you would like to drink. We will provide plates, plastic silverware and napkins. So, come hungry and ready to chat! Note: Since the weather is unpredictable in April, we have a couple of places in mind for the Pot Luck. We have reserved a room in the Dublin Library from 1-2:30 PM for the meal, if necessary. \* But if the weather is nice on April 12th, we are planning to meet in Bridge Park, possibly in the covered shelter area at 12:00 Noon. The topic for April is "Water" Speak Easy: true stories, told live. The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect. The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We meet to learn and practice American Sign Language and to grow our familiarity with Deaf culture. Facilitated by hearing folks (with a connection to a professional interpreter) using Deaf-created content. People of all ASL skill levels are welcome! As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!
