We normally meet a few times a month during the week from 6-8pm. We will occasionally meet on weekends during daytime hours.

After a short winter hibernation, we are back for warmer weather events! We'll be discussing what warm weather events you'd like to see such as hiking, biking, kayacking, etc!

Welcome to Casual Boardgames, where we enjoy classic tabletop games and social deduction games while bonding over good food, drinks, and great conversations. 
We started this group to meet new people and make new friends, and bonding over games in a relaxed atmosphere is a great way to do that. We currently meet near route 23 and Polaris Parkway, and this is close to areas like Powell, Lewis Center, Worthington, and parts of Westerville and Columbus. 
Feel free to bring your own games or play one of the many games our members bring. If you are inexperienced, we will help you learn. 
Here are just a few examples of the kind of games we play. 
Tabletop/board games: Splendor, Catan, Azul, Dominion, 7 Wonders… 
Social deduction games: Code Names, Chameleon, Werewords… 
IMPORTANT: 
1. While we love playing a variety of games and competing, we are not just about the games. We interact and talk while playing, and this leads to a lot of laughter and fun. If you just want to compete and focus solely on the game, then this is probably not the group you are looking for. 
2. Many people join groups like this and never (or rarely) show up after weeks or months. If you join and never really come, we will eventually remove you from the group as a courtesy to our members. Why? Because limiting group conversations (on the app) to regular members makes communication and planning much easier. Also, while it may be rare, it protects members from people who join because they are interested in following a person instead of having a real interest in our group. If you get removed, it is just because you haven’t come, and we follow this protocol as a courtesy to our regular game players.

Short North Street Skates return Saturday, April 4 and we’re excited to get back rolling together. These weekly rollouts are a chance to move through the city as a group, build community, and create more visibility for skating and small-wheeled movement in Columbus. Details: Meet: 1160 N High St 9:30 AM meet 10:00 AM rollout All wheels welcome We’ll be skating through the Short North and surrounding areas at a steady, social pace. Routes will use a mix of streets and bike lanes, so comfort navigating the city is helpful, but you don’t need to be an expert. If you’ve been meaning to come out, this is a great place to start. Come solo or bring a friend!

We’re turning dinner into a full-on game night, and you’re invited. Expect card games, party games, competitive chaos. We’ll also have Jackbox games on the big screen, so everyone can jump in, roast each other a little, and talk just the right amount of trash. We’ve got a bunch of games ready to go, including: Telestrations Hister Cards Against Humanity UNO Attack Jackbox Games We'll have drinks and pizza. This event is so well-run and festive! 6pm - Hat Parade Competition 6:50pm - Kentucky Derby Race 7-10pm - Live Music Feel free to come by earlier with your kids and grandkids for family fun til 4pm. Then some **Fun n Games**: 4-6pm Adult Horse Race Game & Beer Puppeteers. **Family Time**: 1pm Kids Horse Craft; 2-4pm Wiener Dog Races (Excited to be having wiener dog races again. This is always a lot of fun for all. We will be having several heats and then a final competition. Local products with multiple vendors that offer local food, natural, organic food, desserts, pastries, coffee and unique shopping all inside of one building. Gathering tables are indoors and outside on their huge patio! Anchored to the market is the Crooked Can Brewing Company, an on-site hand-crafted beer (plus cocktails, ciders, wine).

Our members also plan group activities such as visits to wine tastings, bike trips, comedy clubs, concerts, plays and local sports games, etc. CSC membership is not required to belong to the Meetup group. Membership is required in order to participate in most club activities (CSC member). Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.
