Support Group for Failed Meditators & Other Spiritual Misfits
You went on that retreat, read the book, committed to meditate daily. And here you are at 3 am, drunkenly staring down a Žižkov doner, wondering what went wrong.
You are not alone!
Come share your spiritual misadventures. Its a space where you can bring a poem, story, koan etc. Or just come and hang out. All paths and experiences are welcome.
We are meeting at Stromovka Park, near Rudolfův rybník (pin in the description). Bring something to sit on, pets are also welcome!
We’ll start with an opening circle, short group meditation and then move into sharing and discussion.
If you arrive late and we are already meditating please join us quietly so you don't disturb others.

Let's dine Persian!
Hello Prague Discoverers and Foodies!
After trying Turkish on the last dining meetup, let’s move one country further to the east and try Persian food!
An AI overview says that "Persian cuisine is characterized by a balance of delicate flavors, often pairing aromatic herbs, fruits, and nuts with rice and meats. It is rarely hot-spicy, relying instead on saffron, dried limes, turmeric, and cinnamon for a subtle, complex taste. Key elements include slow-cooked stews (khoresh), seasoned rice (polo), and grilled kebabs."
It sounds pretty appetizing, doesn't it?
The restaurant is located near the "Národní třída" metro B station.
WHEN: Thursday 4th June, 7 pm onwards
WHERE: [Persia Restaurant](https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fyr3EbVWaMFGpfAx5)

This is for anyone wanting feedback! We mostly focus on novels and longer works, but short stories are welcome, as well. You can submit anything you want feedback on in any genre. Current word limit for submissions is 4,000 words. Send your submissions by 13:30 the Thursday before the meeting (or we have a grace period during which you can submit a lower limit of 2,500 words if you submit by midnight Thursday evening). Also, if you don't have time to read through everyone's submissions, still join the meeting! We know that busy schedules don't always make finding reading time easy.
To submit, use the Dropbox folder. If you don't have access to it, send sonyalakadosch@yahoo.com your e-mail address so I can add you.
Looking forward to seeing everyone there! My number in case of any confusion the day of the meeting is 737 118 530 - or on Facebook: Sonya Lano (https://www.facebook.com/sonya.lano)
DROPBOX INFO:
* add new submissions for the next meeting in the " submissions" folder for the meeting date. Put your name at the beginning of the file name (for example: "Sonya Somewhere in the Dark")
* When providing written feedback (not required, but deeply welcome), save the file as a separate document on your device, then mark your changes/ feedback in the saved file. After you're finished, put the file in the "Feedback" folder under the folder for the meeting date and then under the person the feedback is for (e.g. "For Sonya").
* The submissions folder will be replaced within a week after the meeting has taken place. Feedback will be deleted within 2 months after the meeting, so if you need it longer than that, make sure to copy it to your own disk.

Rückl Glass Tour and Glass Cutting World Championships
🥂 Glass Art, Craftsmanship & Czech Traditions in Nižbor
Join us for a unique Saturday trip outside Prague to the famous Rückl Glassworks in Nižbor, where we will experience one of the most prestigious glassmaking events of the year – the World Championship in Glass Cutting.
Founded in 1903, Rückl is one of the best-known Czech glass manufacturers. During our visit, we will enjoy an English guided tour of the factory and learn how traditional Czech crystal is created by skilled craftsmen.
As a special bonus, the championship will be taking place on the same day, giving us a rare opportunity to watch master glass cutters from different countries competing and demonstrating their extraordinary skills. There will also be live glassmaking performances and additional festival activities throughout the day.
PROGRAM
09:10 – Meeting at Prague Main Railway Station (Praha hlavní nádraží), in front of the main departure board in the central hall (upstairs, at the top of the escalators).
09:22 – Train departure from Prague
10:23 – Arrival in Nižbor
11:00 – English guided tour of Rückl Glassworks
12:00–13:00 – Time to explore the championship and festival area
13:00 – Lunch together in Nižbor
14:30 – Optional walk to the historic Celtic area around Stradonice and viewpoints above the Berounka Valley, or free time at the festival
16:52 (or later) – Return train to Prague
IMPORTANT
• Please purchase your own ticket to the guided tour here: https://portal.colosseum.eu/Tours?mrsid=324&lang=en-GB
