**🎉 Our very first NestJS Meetup!** Join us for an after-work technical meetup focused entirely on the **NestJS Framework**. Connect with fellow engineers over drinks and snacks, and dive into practical, architecture-focused sessions designed to level up your backend development. Whether you're exploring the framework or deploying it at scale, this event is built for you. **Talk 1: From Request to Response – Observing Fastify in NestJS** * **Getting Started:** Core concepts, project scaffolding, and leveraging NestJS's modular architecture for scalable applications. * **The Request Lifecycle:** A deep dive into the execution flow. Understand the exact ordering of Middleware, Guards, Interceptors, Pipes, Exception Filters, and Controllers. * **Observability with Interceptors:** Implement cross-cutting concerns (logging, metrics, payload transformation, error tracking) cleanly without polluting business logic. **Talk 2: Clean CQRS with Pipelines** * **CQRS Implementation:** Build clean and maintainable CQRS architectures using pipeline behaviors for commands, queries, and events. * **Centralized Logic:** Encapsulate logging, correlation IDs, authorization, and validation in reusable components. * **The Outcome:** Achieve decoupled event flows, consistent validation, and significantly improved system maintainability. **Event Details** * Two technical deep-dives + Q&A + Networking * Drinks & Snacks provided * Backend Engineers. All NestJS experience levels welcome! Come learn, share your architectural insights, and help grow the local NestJS engineering community. We look forward to seeing you!
React Athens MeetUp #10
React Athens MeetUp #10
👋 Hello guys and gals, 👋 🎉🎉🎉 Get ready for the after Summer event. 🎉🎉🎉 Doors open at 18:00 18:15 - 18:30 - Gathering and welcome from the organizers. 18:30 - 19:00 - Faris Aziz - The Hidden Battleground, Engineering High-Conversion Payment Experiences 19:00 - 19:30 - Nestor Lopez Federation of Specialists: From Module Federation to AI Orchestration 19:30 - 20:00 - George Karalis - Exploring MCP Apps: Practical Use Cases for the Enterprise [Get your CityJS Athens Blind tickets now before the end of Month as our prices will go Save 50% off.](https://athens.cityjsconf.org) **Faris Aziz - The Hidden Battleground, Engineering High-Conversion Payment Experiences** For most products, the checkout is the most critical and fragile part of the funnel. It’s where traffic turns into revenue, where small UX regressions compound into large financial losses, and where system failures become immediately visible on the balance sheet. This talk explores how to build resilient, high-converting payment experiences as systems, not screens. Drawing on hundreds of A/B experiments run on tens of millions of users and lessons from operating a global subscription platform generating tens of millions in annual recurring revenue, we’ll look at how payment orchestration evolves as products scale across regions, currencies, and providers. We’ll cover how to design checkout UX that converts consistently even for low-frequency products, how to orchestrate multiple gateways without leaking complexity to the user, and how to test and monitor flows where failure tolerance is extremely low. Along the way, I’ll even show a shocking example where adding just two form inputs, implemented correctly, could cost over a million dollars in lost revenue. This is a practical talk from the trenches about why checkout is a hidden battleground, and how resilient payment engineering protects both conversion and growth. **Nestor Lopez //** **Federation of Specialists: From Module Federation to AI Orchestration** The industry has already learned how to break frontend monoliths apart without breaking the product experience. A similar shift is now happening in AI. This talk traces the move from federated UI and composable runtime systems to a federation of AI specialists—and shows why production AI works better when agents have clear roles, controlled tools, workflow hooks, shared collaboration context, and policy boundaries. **George Karalis - Exploring MCP Apps: Practical Use Cases for the Enterprise** What happens when you give an LLM structured access to your company's actual systems, its APIs, data, internal tools? MCP Apps are a new extension to the Model Context Protocol that lets servers return interactive HTML interfaces, dashboards, forms, data explorers, rendered directly inside the conversation. Instead of bouncing users between chat and separate web apps, the UI lives right where the discussion happens, with bidirectional data flow and sandboxed security. We'll look at how tool handlers expose API endpoints to LLMs, how OAuth fits into the picture, and how the data and context flow into a React app rendered inside the conversation. Whether you're considering MCP for your own product or just curious about what generative UI looks like, this talk will give you a practical intro on building AI-native enterprise tools with React. We are pleased to bring you two talks this time. This event will be held in the offices of our sponsor Moro Technology, 28is Oktovriou 5, Omonia square, Stoa Trikoupi. **1st talk:** "Building with Antigravity" by [Mete Atamel ](https://www.linkedin.com/in/meteatamel/) **Abstract:** Google Antigravity transforms your regular IDE into an agentic development platform. Beyond basic tab completion, Antigravity offers an intuitive, artifact-based approach to monitoring and providing feedback to agents. By utilizing rules, workflows, and skills, you can fully customize the environment to your team’s best practices, while a dedicated browser subagent handles tasks outside the editor. Last but not least, its Agent Manager can spin up and coordinate multiple parallel agents across various workflows, allowing you to work at a higher level than the code itself. **Presenter:** Mete is a Software Engineer and a Developer Advocate at Google in London. He builds tools, demos, tutorials, and [gives talks](https://atamel.dev/speaker-profile/) to educate and help developers to be successful on Google Cloud. **2nd talk:** "Beyond RCA Speed: Understanding Change in Modern Production Systems" by [Spiros Economakis](https://www.linkedin.com/in/spirosoik/) **Abstract:** In cloud-native environments, deployments, configuration updates, scaling events, and dependency changes continuously reshape system behavior. Incidents rarely arrive without warning, they emerge from subtle interactions and behavioral drift that are difficult to interpret using dashboards, alerts, or post-incident analysis alone. This talk explores why improving root cause speed eventually plateaus, and why many teams are shifting focus toward understanding how change propagates through production systems. **Presenter:** A systems engineer with over 12 years of experience in diverse tech environments and author of "Argo CD in Practice" book. Founder & CEO of [NOFire AI](https://www.nofire.ai/). A Full Context Embedded SRE platform that operates across the entire lifecycle. Before Change, During Failure, After Resolution.

Tired of Dating Apps? Try a Different Way to Meet Singles in Athens
**Tired of endless swiping and superficial speed dating?** You’re not the only one. Most people who join us say the same thing: Dating started to feel rushed, performative, or strangely disconnected. So we built something different. Conscious Connections Club hosts Relational Labs — guided social experiences designed to spark real conversation, emotional depth, and authentic connection. Events now run in **40+ cities across six continents**, bringing together singles who value curiosity, presence, and meaningful interaction. Before joining an event, everyone attends a short alignment call so you can understand the space and decide if it feels like your kind of people. **[Get the Zoom Link →](https://www.consciousconnectionsclub.com/join)** *** **What Happens On The Call** This is a 35-minute alignment call with the founder. On the call you’ll learn: • why this community was created • how Relational Labs are different from speed dating or typical singles events • how we curate intentional spaces across 40+ cities • what actually happens at the events • why many people return again and again Some calls have two people, others twenty or more. You’re welcome to simply listen and get a feel for the space. Many people attend their first event alone — and most leave having met someone they genuinely want to see again. Sometimes it becomes friendship. Sometimes romance. Often it's simply the relief of realizing you're not the only one craving deeper connection. *** **[See If This Is Your Scene →](https://www.consciousconnectionsclub.com/join)** *** **Why We Require This Call** The introduction helps us keep events intentional, respectful, and aligned. It also gives you the chance to decide if the experience feels right for you before joining a live event. No pressure. Just clarity. *** **[Get the Zoom Link →](https://www.consciousconnectionsclub.com/join)**

How to Structure Real Estate Deals Using Seller Finance and Notes
How to Structure Real Estate Deals Using Seller Finance and Notes
Learn how seller finance and notes can create cash flow and new deal opportunities with 40-year investor Eddie Speed **FREE TICKET** 🎟️ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-structure-real-estate-deals-using-seller-finance-and-notes-tickets-1984826171509?aff=cicmeetupapp Most real estate investors only know one way to make money: Buy the property. Fix the property. Rent it or sell it. But there’s another side of real estate that can create cash flow, flexibility, and opportunity without only focusing on owning more property. At this month’s Columbus Investors Club, Tiffany and Josh High are sitting down with Eddie Speed - a real estate veteran with 40 years of experience who has closed more than 50,000 note deals. He has spent decades helping investors understand how to structure deals through seller finance and notes, and how to think more like the bank instead of just the buyer. This will be a practical conversation around a part of real estate most people have heard about, but very few truly understand. If you’ve ever wanted to know how to create more opportunities in deals, generate cash flow in a different way, or understand how seller finance actually works in the real world, this is a night you want to be in the room for. You’ll walk away thinking about deals differently, seeing new possibilities, and understanding how creative structuring can open doors that traditional investing alone can’t. **What You’ll Learn** * How seller finance works in real estate deals * How notes fit into real estate and create opportunity * How to structure deals more creatively * How investors generate cash flow by focusing on the payment * How to think like the bank instead of only focusing on owning the property * How this strategy can create flexibility in today’s market **Open Q&A - Ask Eddie Anything About** * Seller finance and how to use it in real deals * How notes work in a practical, beginner-friendly way * Creating cash flow without only relying on rentals * Structuring deals that others might miss * How experienced investors think differently about financing * Common mistakes investors make when they only focus on the property **Why You Should Be in the Room** Because the investors who win in the long run know how to do more than just buy houses. They know how to structure. They know how to create terms. They know how to see opportunities other people miss. This is the kind of conversation that can expand the way you think about real estate entirely. Come ready to learn, ask questions, take notes, and connect with people who are serious about growing in this business. **Reserve your free seat now - and be part of the conversation.** Grab your spot here ➡️ https://www.eventbrite.com/e/how-to-structure-real-estate-deals-using-seller-finance-and-notes-tickets-1984826171509?aff=cicmeetupapp
