(Inside event) Are you learning a language but can't find people to practice with? Do you enjoy helping people speak your native language? If so, meet with us to make friends and have some good conversations. We begin by sharing the languages we speak fluently and the ones we are learning. Then we split into groups and speak! You can switch groups as often as you'd like. The goal is to speak about interesting, thought-provoking topics - not just the typical introductions we usually make. At our last meetups we spoke: German, Ukranian, English, French, Hebrew, Russian, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Hindi, Chinese, Greek, Japanese, Turkish, Polish, Swedish, Arabic, Norwegian, Icelandic, and Dutch. Can you help us make this list bigger? We hope to see you there and welcome ANY and ALL languages. (However, we cannot guarantee we will have a speaking partner for all languages). Join us at the dinner event this Saturday as we continue with the fun weekly meetups in central Berlin (Berlin Mitte). For this one, we are going to be in the Middle Eastern restaurant called Mesopotamia, quite near Oranienburger Tor U-Bahn (subway) station. We will have a nice option of a variety of tasty foods (also vegetarian), with good quality and fair prices. A nice sitting place will be reserved for us. In case the attendees would have the wish, there is also an option to visit a nice pub after the dinner. An afternoon bookclub, organized by our member Patrick Rutledge. We will meet in the café of this cultural center and talk about what we are currently reading :) and, if we've time, chat in general about books. Please also feel free to read a sample from you book if you wish. Usually we read both fiction and non-fiction (history, philosophy, sociology, and other topics).
