London Bridge Writers' Group - Pub Meet
London Bridge Writers' Group - Pub Meet
**The Talbot Room at the George Inn** The George provides the room free of charge (they are awesome), and we encourage you to purchase drinks (and food – the burgers are great!). As it’s a pub and not a picnic area, please don’t consume your own food and drink there. We usually meet in the Talbot room which is on the top floor on the left hand side of the pub as viewed from the courtyard. If lost please send a message here shortly before the meeting starts. **We are sorry to say that there is no step-free access to the Talbot room, and it is at the end of three flights of stairs.** **Format** We start at 7pm and run until 9pm. We hear approximately six readings of 10 minutes (\~2000 words), then discuss the piece for 10 minutes. Email your work to: london60transmitter@emailitin.com as an attachment (It must be an attachment). A link for access to googledocs will be given at the start of each session to enable people to read along, which in turn enables more considered feedback. Work submitted will be automatically deleted after 10 days. We decide on readers/pieces at the beginning of each session. **Safe and respectful space** The group is run by volunteers, and we don’t have the capacity to read submitted work in advance. If there is anything in your work that might distress or disturb some readers, for example concerning any kind of abuse, please give a trigger warning before you read. Be specific and concise. If it becomes apparent during a reading that a piece is inappropriate, the moderator will stop the reading. In discussing others’ work, please be mindful of how you express yourself and do not use discriminatory language, even if such language features in the piece.

This session is about getting your writing and reading done and meeting other literacy enthusiasts in the area. Take a seat and settle in and spend some time to chat with your fellow writers before the start of the session if you like. END OF SESSION around 8:30pm Afterward, there’s time to hang out, and many people stay for over an hour. Perhaps to chat and get to know each other. Praed Street Picture Hunt
Praed Street Picture Hunt
St Mary’s Hospital was founded in 1845 on Praed Street as a voluntary hospital for ’the deserving sick poor’ and opened the Medical School in 1854. Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin there. This is another of our many outside Picture Hunts this year. If any issues with weather, we’ll switch to our 50-50 Trivia in the nearby Wetherspoon Sir Alexander Fleming, so turn up as something will be on regardless. If you’re new to Picture Hunts, check previous events for winners and clue sheets. This time, the event will be centred around different shops on one side of Praed St, Paddington, so there’s no crossing of busy roads. Please aim to turn up for 1:00-1:30 when teams are being arranged. The Hunt starts at 1:30. You're losing search time if you're late! Bring a pen please. As usual, portions of the road are split up into four areas where teams search for the locations of photographed items in the street, buildings or shop windows, and then record where they found them. Picture Hunts are a great new way to get up to speed with slices of London history while sleuthing around the area. Everyone is presented with twenty partial photos of objects around an area. Your team mission is to find them. Some well known, some well unknown! This makes Picture Hunts more interesting and challenging, bringing out the best of your teams detecting skills. You will also have a map of the area. It will be sub-divided into four sections, P, Q, R, S. Each photo will come from one of these. Four players max per team, but the lower number teams get a point per player start from the biggest team. For example, four teams of one, two, three and four. Four player team, no advantage, (the biggest and theoretically the more knowledge between them, except it doesn't always work like that). Three player team, one point start. Two player team, two point start. One player team, three point start. Scores are always close and around the 15-20 points mark. How many players do you want in your team? There's a dilemma! The clipboard holder enters one of the letters to note its area location. Dead simple, right? 90 minutes to do the hunt. We have the usual prizes of chocolate, including some great new varieties. There is also an equal prize for the funniest team name judged by Sue, my glamorous assistant. Names win prizes too! So there’s everything to play for. We mark up at the quiz finish point. The Wetherspoon Sir Alexander Fleming. Hunts are good fun and the proven experience so far is that members get to know each other better after working in teams as you all have to communicate. Great icebreakers. This is what Meetup is all about. Come and join us. There is a £7 cash/card charge for this event. Contact number on the day is 07422334411 if your transport is delayed. **If you can’t make it, please cancel using the “Edit RSVP Button”.** **Your consideration is greatly appreciated.**

Singles Event for ages 25- 40: Guided Tour of the British Museum + social
Singles Event for ages 25- 40: Guided Tour of the British Museum + social
Come and enjoy a cultured social evening, a tour with an experienced British Museum tour guide, in a small group of about 16 people and then socialise afterwards. It's a history tour with a difference: It's a group dating event/ history guided tour for single people who love history. I bring the history and you bring the chemistry. The type of people that come on my tours are educated, well travelled, seek self improvement and have a sense of wonder and curiosity about the world. I have delivered several of these events and the quality of conversations you find on the tour are excellent. The guided walk of the museum is by Let's Discover London (we've been giving guided tours of London since 2006) and your tour guide was an official tour guide at the museum and even had sleepovers with the mummies (so you'llget the insider scoops) The event is suitable for people.- who love history but can bring chemistry -find dating apps, and modern digital dating contrived. **The event will run as follows**: Meet your guide and the group at the entrance to the museum (we have roughly an even split of ladies and gentlemen) and then we'll have brief introductions. Then our guided tour starts. Artefacts range from the Rosetta Stone, the bust of Pharoah Rameses ll, the Parthenon sculptures (the 'Elgin Marbles', Sutton Hoo, the bog body, the Lewis chessmen, a crystal skull, There'll be time for interactions as we walk between the stops and we will use a voting app which you'll be requested to download in advance, to see whose answers match. It's the History Geek Compatibility Alogorithm! Watch how people vote. (Voting for a statue of Aphrodite is different to voting for a bog body). And for our final 1.5 hours we will retire to a nearby pub for a drink to talk about history, the universe and more.

The structure of the session is roughly: 2pm: chat 2:20–3:25: writing time 3:25: chat/coffee break 3:40–4:45 writing time 4:45: chat But our Saturdays are very casual, so feel free to drop in and out. **This is usually in the meeting room at the Mitre. If you arrive a bit later, you may need to ask the bar staff to show you through to the room.**
Spiritual Intuition Class
Spiritual Intuition Class
### **Train Your Natural Intuitive Abilities** You're already intuitive. The question is whether you know how your intuition operates, and how to use it to guide you in your daily life. Spiritual Intuition is a practical, grounded class designed to help you understand and strengthen your intuitive senses in a clear, usable way. Rather than guessing, overthinking, or relying on external tools, you’ll learn clear techniques to develop and trust your intuitive guidance. This is intuition as a skill, not a personality trait, and certainly not one reserved for “the gifted few”. ### **If any of these sound familiar, you're in the right place.** * You second guess your inner voice, and find yourself * You’re drawn to spirituality, tarot, or intuitive work, but your insights feel inconsistent * You sometimes doubt whether what you’re sensing is intuition or imagination * You feel intuitive at times, blocked at others * You want clarity, not guesswork * You’re curious about intuition, but want it explained and trained in a grounded way This workshop meets you exactly where you are, whether you’re just starting to connect to your intuition or have years of experience. ### **You'll walk away with:** By the end of this 2-hour workshop, you’ll be able to say: * “I understand what my intuition actually feels like and how it communicates with me” * “I know which of the intuitive senses are strongest for me” (between clairvoyance, clairsentience and clairaudience) * “I have three clear techniques to strengthen my intuition” * “I can develop my intuition practically and apply it in daily life” * “I can train myself to trust my inner guidance more, without forcing or overthinking” This is not about becoming “psychic.” It’s about learning how to listen to information you already receive to make better decisions in your everyday life. ### **What makes Spiritual Intuition different from other courses?** Most intuition courses fall short because they either: * Disempower students by positioning intuition as something “special” or rare * Rely heavily on external tools to access inner knowing Spiritual Intuition is different. These techniques have been used and refined for thousands of years and require nothing outside of yourself. No cards. No pendulums. Just you. You’ll learn how to train your intuitive senses directly, so that intuition becomes something you practice, not something you hope shows up when you need it. ### **Is this class for me?** Spiritual Intuition is great if you identify with any of the following: * Beginners curious about intuition but unsure where to start * People interested in spirituality or tarot who want more consistency and trust * Those who feel intuitive but lack clarity or confidence * Coaches or healers who want to deepen their intuitive abilities ### **About Your Teacher** This workshop is taught by Dr. Jacqueline Nonweiler, a psychologist and spiritual mentor who bridges psychological insight with lineage-based spiritual training. Her approach emphasizes clarity, self-trust, and grounded integration, to help you access your intuition in a way that is calm, practical and empowering. ### **Contact Dr. Jackie** Jackie@sanctuaryhealingcentre.com for any questions & enquiries. Follow me on Instagram: [@jacquelinenonweiler](https://www.instagram.com/jacquelinenonweiler/) ### **Ready to Train Your Intuition?** * **Duration**: 2 hours, 7-9pm * **Location**: In-person at the Modern Mystery School UK EU Headquarters, 4 Celbridge Mews, London, W2 6EU * **Group size**: Intentionally capped at 10 participants * **Investment**: £45 * This workshop stands alone, though for some, it opens up doors of curiosity into deeper study in the Modern Mystery School.
