Zürich Women’s Coffee Circle: Relocation, Belonging & New Chapters
Zürich Women’s Coffee Circle: Relocation, Belonging & New Chapters
Join us for a relaxed Thursday morning coffee meetup in Zürich. This circle is for women who are navigating relocation, adjusting to life in Switzerland, or going through a new life chapter and looking for a sense of community. We will meet in a small group for coffee and gentle, meaningful conversation. **This is not a formal networking event, workshop, or meeting with a set agenda — just a simple space to connect, share, and get to know one another.** If joining a new group feels a little uncomfortable, especially if you are coming on your own, please know you are not alone. You are very welcome here. We will meet from **10:00 to 11:30** at **Karl der Grosse,** before the lunchtime rush, when the space is usually calmer and more comfortable for conversation. **This is a free event.** **Drinks or food are at your own expense.** *As places are limited and I would like to keep the group small, please register only if you genuinely plan to attend. If your plans change, please cancel your spot so another woman can join — your coffee karma will thank you :)* **The conversation will be in English.**

ZH3 Hash # 1729: The Can‘t Get You Out of My Head. Head, Who Said Head Hash?
ZH3 Hash # 1729: The Can‘t Get You Out of My Head. Head, Who Said Head Hash?
Kylie Minogue said Head and today we celebrate the birthday of the Pint of Aussie Beer Sized Princess of Pop. Your glamorous Hares have made a pop splendid trail Especially For You. A trail that will have you doing The Loca-Motion from A to A and a popfantastic drink stop to have you Spinning Around. A refreshing swim stop where hopefully the water won’t get In Your Eyes. A trail so good it might just get named trail of the year - I Should Be So Lucky! Bag drop at the mobility car at the end of Hermetschloostrasse. Final stop on the bus 31. VIP glitzy On after at Micas Garten. Hares are Just Beggin' For It & Cheese Eating Surrender Monkey. **Where**: See location. Typically within Zurich Zone 10. Look for English speakers wearing running gear. **When:** We'll meet at 6:50 pm to start at 7:00 pm. There's a charge of CHF 5 for participating, which covers all you can drink beer/cider (and non-alcoholic alternatives) plus snacks afterwards. **All Welcome:** If you are new, curious, and want to get out of the house, stretch your legs, talk shit, enjoy a drink, and hopefully a laugh, then here's what you need to know: • We are a social running/walking group, physical fitness is not required, but a sense of humour is useful. • The aim is to find the '*Beer Stop*' at the end of the '*trail*' and have fun. • 'True Trail' is typically 4-7 km. Some will go less (especially those walking or walk/running), and some over-achieving fast runners will go further. • The '*Hare*', which changes each event (along with location), cleverly lays the trail (typically with flour marks) so that everyone reaches the end at the same time. • There is always a place to deposit your bag and sometimes a place to change. • **After Trail**, we group for \~20-40 minutes for drinks, snacks, and some fun. This '*Circle*' is typically outside, so leave something warm in your bag in winter (and bring a flashlight when it's dark). If you don't want to stand around drinking afterwards, you can head home. We occasionally all go to a restaurant afterwards. **Why bother leaving your warm & dry sofa?** If you enjoy getting outside, being around people, and doing something a bit different, you will probably enjoy hashing. Exercise is important, and this is probably the least boring way to get it. 'Hashing' and the idea of some physical activity to work up a thirst, have been around for almost 90 years and there are groups (*Hashes*) in most major cities. Its humor and 'traditions' can be explored on the internet - **or you can just come along and find out.** *See you there.* We are of many nationalities, all ages, full of misfits and idiots (at least there is no one taking themselves seriously!) and always welcome newbies 'Virgin Hashers' and visitors from other groups. For more about Zürich Hash House Harriers, check out [www.zh3.ch](http://www.zh3.ch/) ( [http://www.zh3.ch/](http://www.zh3.ch/) )

🎟️ **Get your seat at the Table for Six** 🎟️ ✨An evening of meaningful dialogue and curated guests.✨ 🧧 **HOW TO JOIN?** All seats go via a waiting list. Spots are intentionally limited. It’s a pause. An invitation to slow down, to listen, and to be heard. We gather not to impress, but to express. Not to network, but to connect. If you’re tired of surface-level chatter and crave conversations that leave a mark — this is for you. 📓 **HOW DOES IT WORK?** * One table. Six seats. * A guided evening of storytelling, reflection, and presence. * No phones. No bios. intergenerational women's circle
intergenerational women's circle
**Women Who Wonder — Intergenerational Women's Circle** **The topic of this circle is cycles**. Every woman has experience with different kinds of cycles. As a gynaecologist I have accompanied many women through them and I know how much they vary. **Why we need an intergenerational women's circle** Since the industrialisation of the 19th century, we have been segregated into age groups since kindergarten. This disconnect between generations costs us well-being, resilience, and even years of our lives. Women Who Wonder brings back the receptive, responsive relationships between generations. We sit together in a circle for 90 minutes, not to advise but to share, listen to and witness each other. Each participant speaks without interruption and can ask for the kind of response she would like, or silent appreciation. Being witnessed this way creates a tangible, lifting energy. **About the topic: women and cycles** Whether it is the year, the moon, the menstrual cycle, or our life's cycle, our rhythms are attuned to the natural rhythm, or maybe not. Cycles can be an orientation, a reason for joy or suffering, and all experiences are welcome. **How it works** Every participant shares what she likes to. We pass an hourglass as our talking piece. To create a safe and confidential space, every attendee signs our circle agreements on arrival. In short: we don't interrupt, we are non-judgemental, we don't fix, and we don't sell services. What is shared in the circle stays in the circle. **About me** My name is Barbara, Dr. Barbara Kleeb, I'm a coach, healer, gynaecologist and obstetrician with experience from birth to consultation, from hormones to operation. I am interested in many things, have written and recorded songs and created an online networking event for polymaths that lights people up. I feel that it is time for women to support each other, to learn with and from each other across generations. **Practical details** This meeting costs 50 francs. You can pay in cash on arrival. Students and AHV with card 30 francs. Sponsorships available on request, send me a message. Places are limited to 20 women. The circle is held in Swiss German and English. **Where and when** **Seeburg Park Zürich**, 8008 Zürich. Date: **Friday, 29 May, 5:00–6:30 pm** **How to find it** You can enter Seeburg Park Zürich either from Zollikerstrasse, Bus 33, Botanischer Garten, or from Feldeggstrasse, Tram 11 and 15, walk up Feldeggstrasse, turn right at Mühlebachstrasse, and find the park entrance and spot us in the park. Take whatever makes sense for you to sit, a towel, a cushion, or a folding chair (I will sit on a chair). **When it's truly heard, your story becomes wisdom**

She has exposed her legs in a biblical city, an act they deem forbidden, and their judgement will echo on through her adolescence. When our narrator finally admits to her mother that she is queer, her mother's response only intensifies a sense of shame: 'You exist too much,' she tells her daughter. Told in vignettes that flash between the U.S. and the Middle East--from New York to Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine--Zaina Arafat's debut novel traces her protagonist's progress from blushing teen to sought-after DJ and aspiring writer.
