This is the weekly meeting of the Dallas Scrabble Club, now occurring online at https://woogles.io/club/dallasbedford due to COVID-19 restrictions. Woogles.io is a new web site for players everywhere. We have had great response to playing online at a previous site and have had as many as 16 players show up each week. It makes for a fun diversion for all of us. We play 4 official games on Thursdays. After those 4 games, players are free to play whoever they want on this game site. Each week you plan to attend, I will need to know by 6 pm on Thursday that you are definitely coming, and that you will be onsite by 7 pm that night. That way, I can pair people up in advance to play four games without too much delay in getting set up. If you prefer to play FEWER than four games, please include that info in your response. Please do set up an account on the Woogles site prior to joining the club meetings on Thursday nights and send your player name for Woogles to me so I can set up the games for each expected player. Dodgeball is back again! If you’ve been wanting to come out, this is an easy one to join. We’ll be playing for about 1.5 to 2 hours, you do not need to bring any equipment, and no experience is needed. We use a specific set of rules and equipment to make the games run better and keep them fun for everybody, not just people who already know how to play. If it rains, the event will be canceled.

While some are still meeting online, this is an in person event. Please note that we have attendees of all levels of speaking, including some native speakers. All are welcome! Also, as we meet at the same time and place each week, many don’t RSVP on the app, so we will likely have more attendees than noted here. Note: if you are asked to pay and upgrade the Meetup app, this is not necessary. You can ignore this and still attend our meetings.
