Join us for a relaxed, 6 or 7-mile (10 / 11.5km) urban hike connecting two of London's most iconic craft and contemporary hubs. We’ll start amidst the crafts/antiques of **Camden Market** and wind our way through the heart of the city to the vibrant shops/**markets at Battersea Power Plant**. This is a **leisurely walk** designed for socialising and sight-seeing, not a race! We’ll be moving at a comfortable pace with plenty of opportunities for photos, if needed. Besides is nice to stay active in moderation and I personally needed a walk at weekend! A Malaysian (or non-Malaysian) lunch or even grab a sandwich in and around the park. Across the globe, people are living longer. One in ten children in the UK are expected to live beyond the age of 100. But who gets to live longer and ‘age well’? This exhibition explores how experiences of age are shaped by our environment, culture and society. The exhibition features more than 120 artworks and objects, from historical artefacts to works by contemporary artists. It brings together different perspectives from art, science and popular culture, challenging assumptions about life stages and asks what greater longevity means for all of us. **Cost** Entry is free! We will be walking section 13 out of 15 of the Capital Ring walk. Starting from Stoke Newington station, we will walk through Springfield park and alongside the river Lea, before finishing at Hackney Wick train station. This section of the capital ring is one of the shorter sections and fairly level, we will be walking for approximately one and three quarter hours with a break in between. It can get muddy so bring suitable footwear and clothing if it looks like rain or has been raining. I'll keep a watch on the forecast and will cancel the event a day or two before if the weather is looking bad, so keep an eye on the event chat which I'll update a day or two before to confirm we are going ahead. We will meet just outside Stoke Newington station at 10:45. Unless there is a transport issue affecting everyone, we will aim to start off on the walk at 11am. I will add my location tracking on Glympse so if you are late, we will not wait but you will be able to catch us up. After the walk at Hackney Wick I am planning on heading to a local pub, the Lord Napier Star, for a drink and a bite to eat. The last time I came here they did a good Sunday Roast, if you are up for coming along please indicate in the comments. I'm estimating we would reach the end of the walk at Hackney Wick for about 12:30pm.

Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 8 min to complete. This is a very popular area for hiking, running, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is open year-round and is beautiful to visit anytime. Enjoy winding along the path beside Regent's Canal from Warwick Avenue station to Camden with lovely views over the water and interesting architectural sights along the way. There are numerous places for refreshments in Camden as well as some points of interest to explore before making the return leg or taking the tube back to the start. We will finish at Camden town and will show you the way to Camden Town Tube Station. **What happens during our walks?** We meet at a park or site of interest and enjoy the walk and scenery. Discussions are encouraged between members in order to practice Greek language and strengthen friendships. An educational speech about the site is always given.

This year's Eurovision Song Contest is being held in Vienna, Austria, and the finals are scheduled for 16 May 2026. The [Scandinavian Club of Columbus](https://www.scandiclub.com/) will be co-hosting a viewing party for the final event in conjunction with Germania and the [Columbus Maennerchor](https://www.maennerchor.com/). The delayed televised viewing will take place at the Germania. The program will start around 2:00 p.m. and the singing will **start around 3:00 p.m**. There will be a **cash bar**, and those in attendance can **bring food or snacks** for themselves and or to share with the groups. **Suggested donation: $10/person** to help cover the cost of the venue.
