This is an **open men’s meetup** at **tiRumpel**, a space for connection and encounter in St. Gallen. Men from all backgrounds, cultures, and languages are warmly welcome. We meet to spend time together in a relaxed and respectful atmosphere — talking, listening, playing games, cooking, and sharing experiences. The evenings are shaped by the participants, and everyone is invited to bring their ideas and wishes. Each week a Buddhist monk—Gen Kelsang Lachpa—offers simple yet profound guidance in meditation along with inspiration from Buddhist teachings. This is a great opportunity to find inner calm, clear your mind, and gain practical perspectives you can apply in daily life. **How to get there:** We generally meet at St. Gallen train station and take train to Sitterdorf at 18.37 and it's nice to talk to each other on the way during this 26 minutes ride :-) The Buddhist Temple is right near the train station. **What to expect:** * Guided meditation practice * Introduction to core Buddhist principles * Practical insights to support peace and mindfulness * A relaxed, friendly atmosphere for all levels 🔔 **Important note:** The main instruction and teaching are given in **German**, but the monk also speaks good **English** and is available for **short conversations in English after the session**, so everyone feels welcome. **Contribution: 10 CHF per person paid directly to the Buddhist Temple**

Hallo liebe Java User Group Mitglieder! Diesmal haben wir Nils Hartmann mit seinem Talk zum Thema "**[Spring Modulith](https://spring.io/projects/spring-modulith)**" zu Gast. Wir freuen uns euch zu sehen (virtuell oder vor Ort). * 18:00 Uhr: Einlass * 18:30 Uhr: Talk * ab 19:30: Ausklang des Abends Dank an [qSkills](https://qskills.de/) für Location, Bier und Pizza! \-\-\- Oft sollen Anwendungen in entkoppelten Modulen entwickelt werden, um Ordnung und Struktur in unseren Code zu bekommen und darüber Wartbarkeit zu garantieren. Microservices stellen dafür einen sehr konsequenten Ansatz dar, können aber auch eine hohe Komplexität mit sich bringen. “Monolithen” hingen sind vergleichsweise bequem in der Entwicklung, stehen aber im Verdacht, schnell zu einem unübersichtlichen “Big Ball of Mud” zu werden. Diesem Problem versucht “Spring Modulith” entgegenzutreten. Damit werden Spring Boot-Anwendungen in einer gemeinsamen Codebasis entwickelt (”monolithisch”), innerhalb dieser werden aber Module definiert ("modulitisch"), deren korrekte Verwendung anhand von Architekturregeln kontinuierlich überprüft und sichergestellt wird. Außerdem erweitert Spring Modulith das Spring-eigene Eventsystem, um auch zur Laufzeit für eine Entkopplung der Module zu sorgen. In diesem Live-Coding-Vortrag möchte ich anhand praxisnaher Beispiele eine Einführung in Spring Modulith geben und mit euch diskutieren, welche Konsequenzen sich für unsere Anwendungen daraus ergeben und für welche Szenarien dieser Ansatz besonders geeignet ist. \-\-\- Dein Vortrag bei der Java Usergroup Nürnberg! All within a single game night. We play story games like Fiasco, Kingdom, Polaris and Microscope that encourage everyone at the table to participate creatively. We also have one-shots of indie, OSR, and narrative-focused RPGs such as Apocalypse World, Dread, Lady Blackbird, and Old School Essentials! Everybody's welcome! It doesn't matter if you've never tried story games before or never played roleplaying games at all! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind.
