• What we'll do
The Purpose
Let's network and connect businesses using a well-structured and efficient format.
We meet to network and also learn new skills. It's not just about exchanging contact information, but we also share experiences and other business contacts to help each other grow.
**A Guide for New Visitors**
• BE ON TIME
Our meeting starts at 8.00am sharp and ends at 9.30am. Please come at 7:45am for the networking session.
• FARM & COLLABORATE
We gather together not to hunt business deals from one another but rather to explore means and opportunities to build our businesses through referrals and collaborations together. We appreciate that you don't push your business to our members and other visitors.
• PREPARE A 15-SECOND INTRODUCTION
Don't worry, despite sitting through numerous meetings, some of us are still as nervous as you. Just share a little about yourself, what you do, and how you can collaborate with the people present. 15 seconds go by really quickly anyway.
• STAY FOR OPEN NETWORKING
Don't be in a hurry to rush off after 9.30am. Many of our members and visitors stay for open networking well after the meeting, so do stay on and mingle with us for another 30 minutes to an hour.
• MOST IMPORTANTLY, COME WITH AN OPEN MIND
What makes BNI unique and efficient is the system and structure in place for business owners like us. Come with an open mind and understand why we are willing to sign up for the chapter and meet every week at 7.45am.

How to Find Your 10-Year Problem
We heard many of you ladies are thinking of starting companies, but don't know where to start - so we're bringing female founders to you!
This is the first of a likely series of female founders, and for this pioneer event of the series, we'll be hearing from Celine, an R&D operator in medical devices who, in the last couple years, founded her own Medtech Product Development Firm named Pathem. She's been through many iterations and explorations finding the right problem space for herself, from joining venture accelerators to discovering new sub-problem spaces through consulting for various MedTech companies offering her technical experience as an R&D operator in medical devices.
But this session is not going to stop at just inspiration - it's going to be an interactive session where we'll start acting straight away, as we'll be taking you along on how to find a long-term problem space you can see yourself dedicating at least 10 years to!
Our friendly Women Devs SG volunteers will be facilitating this collaborative session, so be prepared to come with your minds open, your hands ready to write and your hearts eager to connect. Feel free to bring your kids if you're a parent (we're trying to create a family-friendly culture in our little community! One of our volunteers will be bringing their little one too), your nursing gear if you need to pump (Zenika has a nursing room), and male allies if you want! Male allies who wish to come, you can either tag along a lady friend, or bring one with you!
Registration starts at 6:30pm and the actual session at 7pm sharp!

**Path to an AI-first organization: The state of play**
*with May Xu, Regional Head of Technology - APAC, Thoughtworks*
Are you struggling to see a measurable impact from AI adoption in your software delivery process? Many organizations get stuck at the "individual productivity" stage, missing the massive value found at the team and enterprise levels.

"Kiss of the Spider Woman" by Manuel Puig
\*Please note the change of venue. We are no longer able to meet at Charlies and will be looking for a new venue.
!!! Beware of scams! If you have been contacted about featuring your work at our meetings or have been asked for any kind of payment it is a scam.
Country: Argentina
Written in: 1976
Pages: 280
Starting as an experimental study of a romantic female character, Manuel Puig elaborated with streams of consciousness and unspecified dialogue to create this untraditional novel. Fast paced and challenging social, sexual and literature norms, it's seen as his most successful work, having been adapted into multiple films and plays.
Here's and excerpt from [an excellent review on Medium:](https://thebiblioraptor.medium.com/literature-as-resistance-reading-manuel-puigs-the-kiss-of-the-spider-woman-9d8ce00c10fa)
One of the major ways in which literature has made its presence felt is as a tool of resistance. Manuel Puig’s novel *The Kiss of the Spider Woman* is such a battle waged through words, critiquing authoritative institutions, exploring the quest for freedom, and telling human stories of rebellion, love, and loss.
The novel was published in 1976 and is written mainly as dialogues between its dual protagonists — Luis Alberto Molina and Valentin Arregui Paz — detained in a Buenos Aires prison. Valentin is a Marxist rebel who is in jail for waging a political struggle against the government. Molina, who identifies as a woman and homosexual, is imprisoned for the sexual corruption of minors. They are cellmates, who go from strangers to friends and more. One might think that a story that is limited only to one location and written as dialogues between two people might be monotonous. But this is where Puig’s genius lies. Although the physical setting is confined, the reader can transcend that dingy cell, along with the characters, through the sole power of storytelling.

**New to the Hungry Hundred Book Club?** Here's what you need to know:
1. Read the book (If you don't manage to finish it by the meetup date, don't worry. As long as you're not going to be too disappointed by spoilers, you're still welcome to join.)
2. Come to the meeting, usually (but not always!) on the last Sunday of every month.
3. Be prepared to order food/drink at the venue to show our appreciation for letting us use their space. This is a requirement. A lot of time and effort has been put into finding a place that will accommodate our group without an outrageous minimum charge or rental fee, and you'll never be asked to contribute to organiser fees, so please show your respect and support for the restaurant that's letting us use their space.
4. Discuss! It's a casual conversation, so don't be afraid to ask questions and let us know what you think.

**Abstract**
GitHub Copilot is powerful, but what if you could scale from a solo AI assistant to an entire team of specialized agents working in parallel? This session introduces Squad: an open-source framework for multi-agent orchestration that lets you define teams of AI agents with specific roles, responsibilities, and expertise.
We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior. Then, the climax: a live demo where a Squad team of 3 agents (Lead, Developer, Tester) stands up and builds a working application in real-time, showcasing true multi-agent collaboration.
Whether you're new to AI or exploring how to scale your use of Copilot, this session will show you what's possible when agents work as a team.
