We rotate partners when exercises allow it, so everyone gets a chance to practice and connect. ***FAQ*** **I am in the waiting list. Should I still come to the class?** We try to keep the classes as balanced as possible, so if we notice we are getting too many leaders/followers we move people around to waitlist. Sadly not everyone who signed up attends the class, so you can always still show up and see if there is a shortage of leaders/followers. **Want to increase your odds to get a spot for the class?** Then we highly suggest to come with a partner (leader+follower), as we always give them priority. **Why am I in the waiting list I was earlier/first?** There is two reasons, either you have attended the class before or, more likely, you didn't show up to a class you signed up for before. You will see that oriental dance is much more than hip movements, you will also learn torso movements, graceful arms and hands etc It can be energizing , flowing, sensual, flirty, fun and much more! Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
