Join us for a walk (Approx. 5 miles) from Wimbledon Park Station, through Wimbledon Park and green spaces of Wimbledon Commons and onto Cannizarro Park. **WALK START: Wimbledon Park Station** (District Line). When you arrive at the station look for Ken with the 'KEN'S EVENTS/Meetup Badge/Sign. WALK DISTANCE: Approx 5 miles WALK FINISH: Wimbledon Station (District Line and National Rail.) Give up the city streets for a day and breathe some fresh air. Our walks are not interrupted with running commentaries or historical lectures, although occasionally features of significance may be pointed out. As such our walks will be continuous with few stops and it is your responsibilty to keep walkers ahead in view and to follow the direction of the walk. We always end the walk at a pub where the socialising can continue. This Write & Pint workshop invites you into **an aesthetic realm, where verbal and pictorial expression collide!** Together, we’ll be: * Reading an excerpt from a piece of fiction * Reading a poem * Creating a character + character journey * Creating a collage (\*think felt tip pens, magazines, newspapers, scissors, A3 paper, moodboard-type thing) * Using our visual designs to expand our characters and character journey in writing thereafter! * A short pub quiz at the end of the day to round it all off! In our first hour, we will be rewarded with fantastic views from Shoulder of Mutton Hill as we continue through forested slopes and over open fields towards Liss and then onto Liphook via a nice lunchtime pub stop (for drinks only). After Liss, we will walk down Shipwrights Way to Longmore and Weavers Down, an army managed access land which is eerily remote and wild with a range of different flora, shrubs and trees.
