## Tea Time by the Pond Come spend a slow summer evening by the water with tea and good company. ### What to Expect This is a relaxed, casual gathering to unwind by the water. Here is what will be provided: * **For the Humans:** Freshly brewed herbal tea and some light snacks. (Feel free to bring along any favorite snacks of your own ) of course conversation if you would like or a place you can just enjoy the sound of nature and not talk to anyone. * **For the Fish:** Fish food will be available for anyone who wants to spend some time feeding them. * **For Mina:** There will be biscuits on hand for Mina, the resident emotional support pond dog! **Contribution** To keep these gatherings going, I am asking for a **suggested $20 contribution**. This helps cover the cost of the tea, food for the fish, and the general upkeep that keeps this a peaceful place of beauty for everyone to enjoy. * **How to pay:** You can send it via Venmo or simply bring it on the day of the event. * **Please note:** If this amount is a barrier, please **pay what you can** and come anyway! Everyone’s heard of book clubs where the group reads the same thing and gets together to discuss, which is great… if you have time and interest in whatever’s chosen. This is a different type of book club where you bring whatever you’re currently or recently reading (or just a book you’re super excited about) and talk about it with fellow book lovers. We’ll start with people arriving/ordering food between 615-645, then go around and introduce ourselveslves and give a very brief synopsis of what we’re reading and why we’re excited (or not!) about it. Then devolve into informal conversations until people need to head out. The goal Is to create community and connections in a group of strangers - to facilitate this please make sure you have at least a clear first name on your profile. Please join Columbus Tea Lovers for a tasting of loose leaf teas at a private residence in Worthington. (The address will be sent out via private Meetup message a day ahead to those who have RSVP'd.) June 20th is the Worthington Arts Festival so feel free to attend that event which is down the street in addition to the tea party. For this tasting please bring a tea or tisane (an herbal brew that contains no tea leaves) does not come in a prepackaged tea bag. You can feel free to bring it pre-brewed in a carafe or thermos; please leave out the milk and sweetener as we will have some on hand to mix and match. We will have the kettle on and fillable single serve disposable tea bags if you would like to bring the tea leaves unbrewed and extra tea cups on hand as well. We welcome you to bring snacks or desserts that are you enjoy pairing with tea. You can bring a chair if the day is nice in case we sit outside. There is a cat in the house, so be aware in case of allergies. If you want to write in the chat what you plan to bring so we don't have a lot of the same thing, please do so!
