Mental Health 101 - weekly meeting - Thursdays 6:30-8:30
Mental Health 101 by grow.org.nz Grow offers a school for living for better mental health, taught during weekly meetings. Overly negative thoughts, feelings and anxieties are too common a problem. The Grow Programme offers a structured way to connect with other people and learn together healthy ways of thinking, feeling, and acting. The Grow Programme is introduced in this ongoing weekly meeting at our new regular Thursday 6:30 weekly meeting time. “Learning to work with your feelings means learning to be confident even when you feel afraid or depressed. Feelings are like horses and you are like the rider. With training, you and your feelings become a single team.” “The spiritual dimension is at the core of Grow. The human person is nurtured through understanding, encouragement, acceptance and friendship, all of which reflect the spiritual. In Grow, spirituality is not tied to any particular religious belief or tradition.” Our new Thursday 6:30 Zoom weekly Grow meeting is starting. Feel free to attend any or all of the sessions. There is no cost to attend and no referral is needed. Time: Thursdays 6:30-8:30pm Duration: ongoing weekly meeting Session 1 - Feelings and Anxieties Session 2 - Friendship and Mental Health Session 3 - Developing our Personal Value Session 4 - The Three Basic Changes to Better Mental Health

Each player needs to buy their own ticket. If you have a family member/s that is same household as you, they are welcome to sit next to you and you can play along with you but each device needs to purchase their own ticket. If I attended a past event with you, can I sign up for this one? Yes, In fact we never use repeat questions and we always change up the games so feel free to sign up with as many of our upcoming events as you'd like! How do I join the event? After you sign up on to Eventbrite we will send you a link with an invitation to join the event. We'll send you that link by the day of the event. If for some reason you don't see an email from us by the event date, make sure to check your spam folder in case it ended up there by accident. What is the age range? All ages (Over 18) are welcome. We usually have a good mix of ages. How many will be participating? We expect between 15 and 30 people. Art Night - Bring Your Own Work
Art Night - Bring Your Own Work
Welcome to the Art School - 20's & 30's artists Meetup group! This is a community for young artists who are passionate about exploring different mediums and techniques in the world of art. Whether you're a painter, sculptor, photographer, or mixed media artist, this group is the perfect place to connect with like-minded individuals, have a space to work on your craft, and showcase your work. Let's inspire and support each other on our artistic journeys! Whether you're a novice or a seasoned artist, all skill levels are welcome. Join us and unleash your creativity! This month we will be discussing **Frank Santoro**, an American cartoonist, painter, and comics critic known for his expressive lines, experimental page layouts, and vibrant use of color. His graphic novels—including *Storeyville*, *Pompeii*, and *Pittsburgh*—blend personal storytelling with innovative visual structure, often exploring memory, place, and relationships. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.

If you're tired of swiping left and right on dating apps, speed dating is a great way to meet new people in person, in a relaxed, safe, and comfortable environment. **HOW IT WORKS:** We'll introduce you to at least 5, and up to 12 - or more - single women or men. Spend a little time with each one, during a series of 6-minute Pre-Dates. Then tell us who you'd like to speak with again & we'll do the rest! It's the modern, civilized, effective, and fun way to meet other professional-level singles. If you're finished with the games and ineffectiveness of online dating and apps, join us to share a wonderful evening of enjoyable conversation with interesting people... and maybe something magical will happen! **GET TICKETS:** A Meetup RSVP is not a ticket, you must purchase on our website. According to the New York Times, at a speed dating event, people like 2-3 out of 10 people they meet. Online daters only match with 1 in 100 or fewer of the profiles they study. This is the best way to meet new people, and it works! Just ask the thousands of people that have met at our events and had successful relationships and marriages. **WHAT DOES IT COST?** We put a lot of time and effort into creating the best singles events possible, so we collect a fee for our hard work. Our events are an excellent value at about $3 per introduction. Get your ticket for the best singles event in town. **NOTE FOR NEWCOMERS:** We post our events on various platforms. Our events often sell out, so expect plenty of fellow singles, regardless of the numbers you see here :) So what are you waiting for?
