Join us for The Secret Meetup, a semi-monthly board game night at The Secret Lantern Books & Games in Cedar Park! It’s called The Secret Meetup, so you probably shouldn’t tell anyone 🤫 (…but you should absolutely tell people though).

We’re a safe, friendly, inclusive, and diverse group. New players are always welcome — we’re happy to teach games and help you find a table.

🕕 Games start at 6:00 pm and go until 10:00 pm.

📅 First meetup: Monday, March 9. This is a pilot, so potentially every other Monday after that!

📍The Secret Lantern Books and Games in Cedar Park. Housed in a former bank, this shop is now the very definition of “cozy.” Think comfy upholstered furniture, warm lighting, and tucked-away corners, perfect for settling into a long game. And yes — there’s a Vault Room, complete with massive steel door and spinning wheel handle, now reborn as one of the coolest places around to plot your next heist— err, move.

• You’re welcome to arrive earlier to hang out or play, but games will definitely start at 6:00 pm.
• The store opens at 10:00 am — if you want to make a whole game day of it, leave a comment!

Join us for Monday morning coffee, crafting and conversation! Bring what ever portable project you are working on. If you are new to the craft there are usually folks to help you learn. There are a variety of coffee and tea items and a tiny selection of pastry items. Pineview Coffee Company is a small yet spacious coffee shop on the 1st floor inside the Aspen Lake Amenity building. There is only a small sign by the door that has the name of the coffee shop so it can be a little challenging to find. Hope to see you there! A Watershed Protection Plan (WPP) is a voluntary, community-driven framework designed to improve water quality in a specific watershed by identifying pollution sources, establishing goals, and outlining management strategies. It brings together stakeholders—such as anglers, landowners, and community members—to create a science-based, actionable plan that protects local waterways. At this meeting, guest speaker Sarah Stannard, Program Specialist with Texas Water Resources Institute, will share updates on watershed conditions and local projects. Attendees are encouraged to provide feedback and discussion on priorities and the development of the watershed protection plan. As part of the fly fishing community, your input is critical to guide future watershed conservation initiatives for Brushy Creek!

We meet by the flag pole and concrete restrooms near the big parking lot at Lake Pflugerville Park! All levels of runners are welcome- we have ran/walkers, middle of the pack runners, and even some speed demons! We put up a clock with a start sign, and leave promptly at 8 am every Saturday... see you there!

After calling the Austin/Pflugerville parks and recreation department, and then being forwarded to the athletic facility director, our previous location will not work. I went the past two weeks and by 4:30/5:00 (its a first come, first serve situation) there are already dozens of people playing a mix of soccer ball/volleyball. Everyone 18+ is welcome here (yes, even if you're 40, 50, 60, 70+ years), You don’t need to be fast, athletic, or in any particular shape. Ultimate frisbee is great for everyone because even with walking you will be "open" and get thrown the frisbee during the game. If you’re feeling nervous or unsure, that’s totally normal, and you’ll fit right in. Simply bring a refillable water bottle of some sort and come exactly as you are :) Also, you may want to bring a lawn chair to sit down during our water/rest breaks. With the original post I wasn't sure how many participants we would have. Yet, I now know we will have a solid 10+ people at a minimum (I have some people coming who are not on Meetup). This will be perfect for us to have a nice small game of ultimate frisbee! Realistically, I imagine we will be casually throwing the frisbee or kicking the soccer/kickball until \~6:00 as we wait for enough people (8 to 10) to get a game going.
