Join us for a group ride at Pleasanton Ridge to tackle some of the area's most feature-rich and steep downhill trails. This is a technical ride focused on quality descents and challenging climbs.

Logistics

  • Meet: Longview Drive (Street parking available)
  • Arrival: 9:20 AM
  • Wheels Roll: 9:30 AM Sharp

The Route
We’ll kick things off with a stout 1,000 ft fire road climb to the ridge to warm up on Augustine Bernal DH. From there, we’ll climb back up for two additional technical laps, chosen based on group energy and trail conditions.

Difficulty & Pace

  • Technical Level: Advanced. Expect Black Diamond terrain, steep chutes, and mandatory features (drops/obstacles) up to 1 foot tall.
  • Pace: C+. We regroup at every intersection and follow a "no drop" policy. I'll be on an eMTB but keeping a pace that is friendly to analog riders.
  • Note: The fire road climbs here are relentless - eMTBs are highly recommended.

What to Bring

  • Refueling: Lots of water and some snacks
  • Safety: Helmet and a well-maintained mountain bike.
  • Support: Snacks and tools for basic trail-side repairs.

Sign-Up & RSVP Policy
To ensure everyone’s safety and a cohesive group experience:

  • All riders will initially be placed on a Waitlist first.
  • The host (yours truly) will review and move riders to the "Going" list individually.
  • Please answer the survey question about the technical trails you've ridden recently.
  • Objective: This isn't about being "exclusive"—it’s about making sure everyone is prepared for the mandatory features and steep, technical nature of these specific trails.
  • Guest riders are not allowed, this ride is for WCMB members. If you have a guest, please have them join. Liability etc. Thank you.

NOW THE NITTY GRITTY...
West Coast Mountain Bikers is a group riding community. We don't encourage individuals to come out to our rides that want to do their own ride five minutes after starting with us. We start together and stick together.

If new to our group, please take the time to read our Ride Rating Guide, found at the link below.

All of our rides require a helmet and properly maintained mountain bike.
Riders should be sure to read the description of the ride fully prior to their RSVP. Rides will vary by location and organizer, so be sure to sign up for rides that are appropriate for your skill and fitness level. If unsure if an event is appropriate, contact the event host prior to the event. If you have an existing medical condition please consult your doctor prior to joining an event.

Meetup.com and West Coast Mountain Bikers do not allow minors to attend events. We will occasionally make exceptions, so long as the parent is also in attendance.

The event host and organizers ultimately have the last call on who can and cannot attend a particular event. When a members safety is concerned we will always err on the side of caution.

Release of Liability:By joining this event, you hereby RELEASE and DISCHARGE it's owners, principals, affiliates, presenters, organizer, assistant organizer, hosts and participants from any and all liability, claims, demands or causes of action that you now have, or may have in the future, for injuries, damages, death and/or economic loss of any kind or nature, arising in whole or in part out of the activities, advice or information contained herein. You further agree that if you or someone under your supervision uses the information on this website you assume all risks of injury, damage, and economic loss, without limitation, and release providers from all liability.
