🌲🌸 Easter Monday Thames Walk: Hampton to Richmond + Picnic 🌻🍄 ~8 miles
Hampton Court Landing Stage, 64 Hampton Court Way,, England, GBJoin us for a social walk along one of the most beautiful parts of the Thames river from Hampton to Richmond - and also get a chance to meet open-minded, international friends in their 20s to 30s! Whether you’re new to the city or just want great conversation, World Citizens' socials are a great way to ease in and make new friends. After the walk, we'll do a little picnic to celebrate Easter Monday, and perhaps explore a few pubs for some extra drinks... or eggs? 🐰
✨ What to Expect:
• A sociable 2-3 hour walk along the beautiful Thames.
• Meet young Londoners aged 20s to 30s, incl. students, creatives, internationals.
• Low-pressure, real conversations and occasional hosted discussions - no awkward silence.🕑 Travel & meeting points:
- Trains: you can travel from Waterloo Station to Hampton Court Station in 30 min. You only need a one-way ticket as the return will be from Richmond (District Line or Waterloo).
- Walk starts at 12:45 PM SHARP! Meet near Hampton Court Landing Stage for start of walk. We will leave punctually and cannot check comments after the walk has started.
- Around 3:30/4:00 PM: arrive in Richmond and get a picnic spot.
- Later in the evening: explore the area, drinks and/or dinner later on!
🍃 Important details for your safety & comfort:
- The walk will be approx 8 miles (13km) in total, which will take 2.5 to 3 hours depending on the speed of the group and any breaks.
- The terrain is easy, but you should feel healthy and comfortable enough to walk for 3 hours. There won't be many options to leave the route. Please bring water, snacks and comfortable walking shoes.
- We prioritize the social and conversational aspect of the walk. It's not a fitness race.
- This is not a professional guided walk but experienced members going together on a very easy walk; you join at your own risk (read disclaimer below).
