Let’s meet at the Ridge Crest trailhead at the end of Mountain Cove Rd. Join us for a steady-paced hike on Freestone Ridge, out and back. This route offers a solid workout with consistent climbing, great views, and a faster pace for those who enjoy covering ground efficiently.
Hike Details:
• Distance: approximately 6 miles round trip
• Elevation Gain: approximately 1,100 feet
• Pace: Moderate to Fast
• Estimated Duration: approximately 2 hours
• Difficulty: Moderate
This hike is intended for active hikers who are comfortable maintaining a steady pace and handling sustained uphill sections.
Please bring:
• Water/hydration
• Hiking shoes or boots with good traction
• Sun protection (hat, sunscreen, sunglasses)
• Appropriate layers for weather conditions
