Sierra de Galiñero loop from Gondomar

Time to work off all that Christmas food! Intermediate hike from near Gondomar through the Sierra de Galiñero. No special skills required, but good fitness needed. Distancia 9.5km, desnivel 310m, duración 3 horas.

A sunny day is likely, but it will be cold, so wear warm clothing and good hiking shoes. The walk is nearly all on unpaved surfaces, so there may be wet patches. Bastones are an advantage, but not necessary. There is no bar or restaurant on the route, so bring snacks, and we may be able to finish with a drink in Gondomar.

There is no bus service, we will go by car and meet at the picnic place at Alto da Cascalleira. New members, if you need a lift from Vigo, please state when you sign up, if you can offer a lift please say so (€5 toward fuel to the driver). It is then up to you to establish communication and a place to meet. I can offer a lift from Guixar station at 10:15am, maximum 4 places.

Finally if you sign up and change your mind, please cancel no later than 24 hours before the event. We won't wait for no-shows, but I will give my phone number to participants nearer the event for urgent messages (lost, late etc.)
